London & South Western Railway enamel Cronin platform indicator signs x 3 BROOKWOOD, WOKING SURBITON and ESHER SURBITON. All are in very good condition and two measure 6.75in x 4in and the other 8.5in x 3in.
Shedplate 1A Willesden 1935-September 1965. This ex LNWR shed was home to over 130 locos in the 1950s and in its final few months still maintained 70. In cleaned condition.
Shedplate 1D Devons Road Bow 1949-August 1958 for steam, total closure October 1964. This ex NLR shed had an allocation of 50 in 1950. It became the first diesel only depot on the system; a number of the new diesels also carried this code. Face resto red.
Shedplate 2C Warwick Milverton 1950-November 1958, then Stourbridge Junction 1963-July 1966. The ex LNWR shed at Warwick had a small allocation of around 15 locos in the 1950s, and when the ex GWR shed at Stourbridge was absorbed into the LMR taking over this code, it maintained over 30 locos. In good original condition.
Shedplate 33A Plaistow 1948 to November 1959. This ex LTSR shed had over 80 locos in 1950, and by the time it lost its code, becoming a sub shed of 33B Tilbury, it still had 40 locos on its books. It finally closed in June 1962. An LMS style plate in original condition.
Shedplate 51C West Hartlepool 1949 to September 1967. This ex NER shed was home to 80 locos during the 1950s; a total which had declined to 30 by 1965, and on closure just 2 Q6s and 7 WD 2-8-0s remained. In as removed condition.
Shedplate 5D Stoke 1935-August 1967. This ex NSR shed had an allocation of over 100 locos in the 50s and in its final few months still retained a substantial number of locos. Face restored over original paint.
Shedplate 65A Eastfield 1948-November 1966 for steam. This ex NBR shed housed a star studded allocation of 170 locos in the early 1950s. Of note were K1, K2, and K4 2-6-0s, along with D11 and D34 4-4-0s. By 1965, however the total number of steam loc os was down to single figures. Many of Eastfield's diesel locos also carried this style of code well in to the 1970s. In restored condition with the Scottish District shed casting pattern number etc cast into the back.
Shedplate 65E Kipps 1949-January 1963. This ex NBR shed was home to 50 locos throughout the 1950s, the most notable being the quirky Y9 saddle tanks with the wooden wagons attached as extra coal space. Face restored with casting pattern numbers in th e front.
Shedplate 70A Nine Elms 1950-July 1967. This ex LSWR depot was London's last bastion of SR steam. Home to around 100 locos in the 1950s, by 1965 it still had charge of 40 locos, which included seven 5MT namers, and a handful of West Countries. Face r estored condition with the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back and typical Southern region casting marks on the front.
Shedplate 70B Feltham 1950-July 1967. This ex LSWR shed housed between 60 and 80 locos for most of its life; most notable being the ever present H16 4-6-2Ts. In original condition with the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back.
Shedplate 70C Guildford 1948-July 1967. This ex LSWR shed was home to 45 locos in the 1950s and towards the very end of SR steam, it still looked after a good number including several 73xxx standard namers. In original condition with the BR(S) Eastle igh triangle cast into the back.
Shedplate 70D Basingstoke 1950-September 1963 then Eastleigh closed to steam July 1967. The ex LSWR shed at Basingstoke was most noted for being home to the Remembrance 4-6-0s in its small allocation in the 1950s. Eastleigh, also ex LSWR, took over t he code when Basingstoke lost its allocation. Basingstoke however remained open for servicing until the end of SR steam. Eastleigh's allocation of 100 locos contained no fewer than 36 Bullied Light Pacifics during this period. Face restored condition with typical Southern region casting marks on the front.
Shedplate 70E Reading South 1949-December 1962, then Salisbury September 1962-July 1967. The ex SECR shed at Reading had just 17 locos allocated in 1950 and was to lose them all by 1957. It continued as a steam servicing shed until closure in January 1965. Ex LSWR Salisbury, formerly 72B, had around 35 locos when it used this code. Almost its entire allocation consisted of West Country, Battle of Britain and Merchant Navy Pacifics. Face restored condition with typical Southern region casting marks on the front.
Shedplate 71A Eastleigh 1950-September 1963. This ex LSWR shed housed eleven King Arthurs and eight Lord Nelsons among its 1950 allocation of 140 locos. By the time it changed code to 70D in 1963, fifteen West Country pacifics were present in a total of 100 locos. Closure to steam came in July 1967. In restored condition with typical Southern region casting marks on the front and the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back. Vendor states it was removed from M7 class 30125.
