Wagon plate ABERLLEFENY QUARRIES 42 ex internal user wagon used at the Aberllefeni Quarries North Wales which connected with the Corris Railway which became part of the GWR in 1929. Oval cast iron measures 8.5in x 6.5in and in as removed condition, a very rare plate.

Smokebox numberplate 44878 ex LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1945 and originally numbered LMS 4878. Allocated to Carlisle Kingmoor and 10D Lostock Hall from where it was withdrawn in July 1968 and scrapped the following year at Cohens Ke ttering. In lightly cleaned condition.

BR(S) FF enamel station fascia sign. BUDE STATION with two Southern totems either end. From the former London & South Western terminus in North Cornwall closed in 1966, this sign was mounted above the entrance. In very good condition with minor c hipping and a small crease, rare to find any enamel from this station. Measures 117in x 12in. Sold on behalf of the Swindon & Cricklade Railway.

Allocated to Boston, New England and 35B Grantham from where it was withdrawn in August 1959. Scrapped at Doncast er Works. Oval engraved brass, face lightly cleaned, with 4181 and 3532 stamped in the back. Measures 12.25in x 7.5in.

BR-W Brass cabside numberplate 7916 ex BR-W Hawksworth modified Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1950 as order number 368 and named Mobberley Hall. Allocated to St Blazey, Newton Abbot, Laira, Swindon and 88A Cardiff east Dock from where it was w ithdrawn from in December 1964 and scrapped the following year at Swindon works. In face restored condition. Note we sold the nameplate in our March 2022 auction.

Sent by the WD to Eastleigh for overhaul in 1957 and then sold to BR and num bered 48775. Allocated to Polmadie, Carlisle Kingmoor, Newton heath, Agecroft, Patricroft and 10D Lostock Hall from where it was withdrawn in August 1968 and scrapped. In lightly cleaned condition with BR Eastleigh triangle cast into the back.

London & South Western Railway table oil lamp with ornate cast iron base with SWR cast underneath, Cranberry glass reservoir, Hinks's No2 duplex burner, glass chimney and glass globe. In excellent condition stands 26in tall. A rare and ornate lam p probably used in a senior employees office maybe at Eastleigh, similar to the GWR waiting room type.
Nameplate ZENITH ex British Railways diesel Hydraulic Warship Class 42 built at Swindon in 1961 and numbered D867. Allocated new to 83D Laira and withdrawn from there October 1971. Scrapped the following year at BREL Swindon. Cast aluminium, face sym pathetically restored over original paint, rear original.

Allocated to Wolverhampton Stafford Road, Neyland and withdrawn from 82C Swindon in December 1962 and scr apped at Cashmore's Newport. In original condition. Note this was the last of the class and neither side has appeared publicly for sale before.

Scrapped later the following year at Cashmores Newport. Face restored.
