Bottom panel has the addition of an overlay with telephone number 433711 and similarly top corner has a small overlay Fare Stage Arrow. Good overall condit ion. Together with a small enamel Fare Stage sign, double sided, 12in x 2.5in. Additionally, an alloy plate HASTINGS COUNTY BOROUGH No 8 Licensed To Carry 4 (overpainted with number 5) Persons with a raised coat of arms shield depicting the three lions. Southern Railway Isle Of Wight Carriage Prints, an identical pair in glazed frames. British Railways produced official copies of these long ago and these are believed to be from that source. Both in extremely good condition. (2 items)
SR 4 aspect Handlamp with reservoir and BR/SR burner and brass numberplate 2152 affixed to the reducing cone. Stamping on side looks very much like WYE which is a station near Ashford in Kent. Orange aspect glass missing otherwise very good condition .

GCR single aspect blackout Motor Vehicle Lamp complete with reservoir and BR burner. Brass plate affixed to side with manufacturers name Eli Griffiths & Sons 102 Bradford Street Birmingham. Stamped with company initials and what looks like GY, de noted Grimsby in all probability. Good, original condition. Together with an LNER 4 aspect pie-crust Handlamp with reservoir and LNE burner. Painted red, it is stamped GY TN FIRE on the side, likewise denoting Grimsby Town in all probability. Two glasses missing, red and blue intact, otherwise good condition. (2 items)

Together with an LMS Registration Plate 1939 Standard 12 Tons No 157039, complete with lugs intact but a couple of small broken pieces re-affixed by the 'T'. (2 items)

An amazing, 1960’s Locospotter’s personal collection of Notebooks recording Loco movements accurately and in most cases meticulously with important notes, mainly at South Wales MPD’s and Scrapyards but other locations too. A pair of the larger books in particular concentrate on Scrapyard movements and contained within both is an absolute plethora of incredibly unique, original BR Scrap Labels showing the locomotive number and to which scrapyard it was consigned. Significantly, also included is approximately 1900 b/w and colour Negatives (mostly 35mm with a small offering of b/w photographs to match). The minority b/w 60’s negatives were mainly taken in South Wales and other locations, the majority, later colour ones taken in the 90’s at Heritage Railway locations. These include freedom to use for whatever purpose. Also, scrap books with miscellaneous ephemera within, some used Ian Allan ABCs, First Day Covers, Wagon & Luggage Labels, a few Working Timetables and other odds and ends. Illustration shows a small sample.

Locomotive ownership plate THE TRAFFORD PARK RAILWAYS COMPANY 1906 TP GROUP as fitted to Yorkshire Engine Company Janus 0-6-0 Diesel Electric works number 2878 of 1963 and named R. A. Lawday. The locomotive worked at the Trafford Park Estate Railway. Circular painted steel in as removed condition measures 30in diameter.
Shipping Flag, East African Railways And Harbours measuring 36in x 18.5in. Manufacture by Porter Brothers, Liverpool in 1959, it is in very good condition with very minor defects. Together with an East African Railways And Harbours cloth Capbadge as removed from a well used cap. (2 items)
British Railways enamel nickel Totem Capbadges, quantity 4, all JR Gaunt and in excellent, undamaged condition comprising: BR(W) TICKET COLLECTOR; BR(W) GUARD; BR(S) TICKET COLLECTOR; BR(M) FOREMAN. Together with a gilt BR(M) Lion-over-Wheel STATION MASTER and a standard gilt Lion-over-Wheel. Additionally, an L&NWR, so stamped Carriage Key and a couple of general keys with an oval tag inscribed LNWR & WCJS SC1 Saloon & Corridor. (8 items)

East African Railways Beyer Peacock built Garratt-type class 55 locomotive brass cab identity/history plate. The plate measuring 6in x 4in shows the loco number 868 went to the Burma Railway in January 1947 and hired to the UK War Department with num ber 74328. It was subsequently transferred to the Tanganyika Railway as a GB class. An historic item. Together with 5 brass letters 8.5in tall comprising: E&RHH, quite possibly ex East African Railways.
