Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway nickel plated brass Cap Badge LYR GUARD. In excellent condition complete with rear mounting lugs. Measures 2in x 1.25in.
Shedplate 2C Warwick Milverton 1950-November 1958, then Stourbridge Junction 1963-July 1966. The ex LNWR shed at Warwick had a small allocation of around 15 locos in the 1950s, and when the ex GWR shed at Stourbridge was absorbed into the LMR taking over this code, it maintained over 30 locos. In good original condition.
Shedplate 8A Edge Hill 1935-May 1968. This ex LNWR shed was home to over 120 locos during the 1950s, which included 12 Patriots, 11 Jubilees, 10 Royal Scots and 7 Princess Royals. By the mid 1960s only 50 locos remained including the last named Black 5 in service, 45156. In restored condition.
Shedplate 8B Warrington Dallam 1935-October 1967. This ex LNWR shed was home to 55 locos in the 1950s. At various times during the 1960s it had 10 Patriots, 18 Jubilees, and 2 Black 5 namers in its allocation. In lightly face cleaned condition.
Shedplate 8C Speke Junction 1935-May 1968. This ex LNWR shed had 50 locos in 1950, but by 1959 this had reduced to just 30. However, by 1965 this total doubled, as it became one of the last steam sheds on Merseyside. In restored condition.
Shedplate 24L Carnforth April 1958 to September 1963. This ex LNWR shed, formerly 11A, had 40 locos when using this code. It became 10A and was one of the final steam sheds to close in August 1968. It is now the home of West Coast Railways. Face rest ored.
Shedplate 27C Southport 1948 to September 1963. This ex LYR shed had 30 engines on its books throughout the 1950s. It became 8M in 1963 and closed in June 1966. In as removed condition this plate has been converted from another 20 series plate possib ly 26C
Shedplate 27F Brunswick April 1958 to September 1961. This ex CLC shed, formerly 13E and 8E, had 30 locos when using this code. An early style LMS pattern plate, has been cleaned.
Shedplate 30A Stratford 1949-September 1962 for steam. The ex GER shed at Stratford had the largest allocation of any depot in the United Kingdom, with a total of nearly 400 locos. It was mostly noted for its Sandringham's and Britannias in steam day s and the diesel depot continued using this code until May 1973. Face restored.
Shedplate 32D Yarmouth South Town 1948 to November 1959. This ex GER shed had quite an eclectic allocation in the 1950s of around 20 locos covering eleven classes. Most notable were 7 B17s including the two former streamlined examples and 3 Britannia s that only stayed for around a month. In face restored condition, a rare code that's only appeared four times at auction before.
Shedplate 33A Plaistow 1948 to November 1959. This ex LTSR shed had over 80 locos in 1950, and by the time it lost its code, becoming a sub shed of 33B Tilbury, it still had 40 locos on its books. It finally closed in June 1962. An LMS style plate in original condition.
Shedplate 34A Kings Cross 1948-June 1963. Top shed was home to over 160 locos in the early 50s, including no fewer than 17 A4s, the majority of which remained there until closure. In lightly cleaned condition.
Shedplate 34G Finsbury Park April 1960 to May 1973; closure in 1983. This ER diesel depot, was famous for its allocation of the popular Class 55 Deltics. In original condition with plenty of the earlier yellow paint visible.
Shedplate 51L Thornaby until 1973. This purpose built BR shed inherited the steam allocation of 110 locos from the redundant sheds at Middlesborough and Newport. Most of its Diesel allocation carried this code and this is one. In as removed condition with traces of green paint under the Yellow and plenty of Brake dust.

Shedplate 52A Gateshead 1949-June 1965 for steam, May 1988 totally. By the end of the 1950s this shed had a star studded allocation of 90 locos, including 8 A4s, 13 A3s, 14 A1s, 4 A2s, 2 Antelope B1s and 2 named V2s. In restored condition.
Shedplate 55D Royston October 1956-November 1967. This ex LMS shed, formerly 20C in the LMR, was transferred to the NER in 1956 when it had 55 locos on its books. Lightly face cleaned.
Shedplate 56B Ardsley October 1956-October 1965 This former GNR shed was originally in the ER 37A and was then transferred to the NER. In late 1959 it had over 60 locos, and by 1965 it housed 45, comprising 4 A1s and 8 named B1's. Lightly face restor ed.
Shedplate 56G Bradford Hammerton Street July 1956-December 1967. This ex GNR shed, formerly 37C, was transferred to the NER when it took on this code. It lost its steam allocation of 33 locos in 1958, and became a DMU depot. As well as many units, a number of Class 03 and 04 shunting locos carried this code. In July 1967 it became 55F and finally closed during 1985.
