Oswestry & Newtown Railway Company Owners wagon plate. Oval cast iron face restored, measures 10in x 5.25in.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 3756 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1937. Allocated to Wolverhampton Stafford Road, Croes Newydd, Ebbw Junction and 88H Tondu from where it was withdrawn in March 1963 and scrapped at Cashmores Newport. In original condition as stored since 1965.
Norfolk & Suffolk Joint Railway enamel seatback HOPTON ON SEA. From the station on the joint line between Gorleston and Corton closed in 1970. In very good condition with mainly edge chipping, measures 20in x 4in. Note this is not the same one we sold in our March 2022 auction.
CCCP (Soviet Union) cast iron locomotive emblem plate as fitted onto the cabsides of Russian steam locomotives. In as removed condition measures 15in x 10.5in.

London & South Western Railway two lever Detonator Signal Lever Frame with two brass lever plates LOCAL and THROUGH. Also brass plated FOG ON RAIL, FOG OFF RAIL and MAGAZINE. LSWR cast into both sides. In very good condition stands 36in tall.
A pair of London & North Eastern Railway double line Block Instruments with bells on the back. One is plated GRASSMOOR JCT from the former box on the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint line between Whitemoor and Spalding. Both in very good ex box condition and stand 15.5in tall.

South African Railways brass cab side numberplate 2104 12AR. Ex class 12 4-6-2 locomotive built by Henschel in 1929. Rebuilt with a Watson cab and Loubser boilers and reclassified to Class 12AR. In as removed condition, measures 20.5in x 14.25in and complete with original receipt.

GER running in board WHITTLESEA from the former Great Eastern Railway station between Peterborough and March. Wood with cast iron letters, in nicely restored condition, measures 142in x 17in.
Totem BR(S) FF GILLINGHAM from the former South Eastern and Chatham Railway station between Chatham and Sittingbourne. In very good ex station condition with a few small chips. This is the rarer dark green black flanged version that has appeared onl y 3 times before.

South African Railways brass cab side numberplate 535 6B. Ex class 6 4-6-0 locomotive built by Neilson Reid in 1898 as works number 5320. Supplied new to the Cape Government Railway and numbered 596 and then renumbered to SAR 535 in 1912. In good co ndition, measures 20.5in x 14.25in.
LNER enamel horseshoe Lamp Tablet AUDLEY END from the former Great Eastern Railway station between Bishops Stortford and Cambridge. Double sided, both sides in very good condition with minor chipping. Unusually the text is in blue enamel as opposed t o the normal black. Measures 11in x 6.5in.

A South African Railways dual language brass Cabside Numberplate E1186 from a 3 kV DC Class 6E Bo-Bo electric locomotive. E1186 was built in 1970 by Union Carriage and Wagon, Nigel, RSA, with the electrical equipment supplied by Associated Electrical Industries and English Electric. Oval cast brass in as removed condition. Measures 20.75in x 14.5in.

Smokebox numberplate 63985 ex LNER Gresley O2 2-8-0 built at Doncaster in 1943 and numbered LNER 3855 and 3985. Allocated to Doncaster, Colwick, Langwith Junction, Mexborough, Frodingham and 36E Retford Thrumpton from where it was withdrawn in Septem ber. Scrapped by Rigleys (Bulwell Forest). In lightly face restored condition.

A set of 3 Class 323 builders plates HUNSLET TPL, BIRMINGHAM 1992. These 43 3-car electric multiple units were built for Regional Railways. The first batch entered service around Birmingham, with the later batch serving Greater Manchester. Each of th e 3 coaches were allocated a separate Lot No. 64001-043 DMSO Lot No 31112, 72201-239/340-343 Lot No 31113 and 65001-043 DMSO Lot No 31114. Oval cast aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 7in x 4.75in.

BR(M) advertising mirror LONDON MIDLAND MAIN LINES & CONNECTING LINES. Shows a map of the lines out of Euston, St Pancras and Marylebone all the way up to Carlisle. Thick bevelled mirror glass measuring 11in x 6in. In excellent condition.
BR(M) signalling sign STECHFORD YARD SHUNT FRAME. The shunt frame was originally Stechford number 1 signal box which was downgraded to a shunt frame in 1966. In very good condition wood with cast iron letters measures 35in x 12in.

Smokebox numberplate 63688 ex LNER Robinson O4 2-8-0 built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd in 1918 and numbered WD 1670, LNWR 2913, LNER 6343 and 3688. Allocated to Gorton, Retford Thrumpton 36A Doncaster from where it was withdrawn in Septem ber 1965 and scrapped at T W Ward Beighton. Face restored with a neat weld repair.
Worksplate Andrew Barclay & Sons Co Ltd., numbered LWDMU 692 dated 1986. Ex 4-wheeled DH 230Hp Pacer Class 143, 2-car sets numbered 143601 to 143625, AB numbers 669 to 718/1985 to 1986 If plated in sequence this is ex Set 143613, . The initials s tand for Light Weight Diesel Multiple Unit. Bodies were built by Walter Alexander of Falkirk and the Underframes by AB. Cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 10in x 8in.

Works makers plates DE DIETRICH REICHSHOFFEN 1994 as fitted to the Eurostar power cars and coaches and ALSTHOM LA ROCHELLE 1989 as fitted to the French TGV cars. Both in as removed condition and measure 8.75in x 5.25in.
Nameplate and badge SAPPER. Ex Ministry of Defence Austerity 0-6-0ST built by the Hunslet Engine Company in 1953 as works number 3797. Delivered new to the MOD at Bicester and numbered WD 197, it then worked at various Army locations including Longmo or in 1957, before going back to the Command Ordnance Depot at Bicester where it was named Sapper in May 1965. In 1977 it went to the Kent & East Sussex Railway where during its first two years it remained Army property and was sold to K&ESR members in October 1979. The nameplates were not available so it was renamed Northiam. Rectangular cast brass with integral badge and metal mounting plate, measures 25in x 16in. In good condition.
Nameplate QUEEN together with its worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO No 1784 1923. Ex 0-4-0 ST used at Gedling Colliery Nottingham. Nameplate lightly face restored measures 22.25in x 6in. Worksplate is lightly face cleaned and measures 16.75in x 11.75in. A nice set.
