Rectangular chromed brass, face restored. Measures 8in x 5.75in.

Worksplate GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY MAKERS DONCASTER No 1017 1903 ex Ivatt C12 4-4-2 T numbered GNR 1531, LNER 4531, 7384 and BR 67384. Allocated to Langwith Junction and 40C Louth from where it was withdrawn in April 1956 and scrapped at Doncaster Wor ks. Oval cast brass, face restored with some cracking around the bolt holes, measures 10.75in x 6.5in.

London Transport enamel frieze sign WATERLOO. In very good condition with minor edge chipping, measures 59in x 9in.

Worksplate LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY DARLINGTON WORKS 1927 62701 ex Gresley D49 4-4-0 originally numbered LNER 251, 2701 and BR 62701 and named Derbyshire. Allocated to Hull Botanic Gardens, Bridlington and 53A Hull Dairycoates from where it was withdrawn in September 1959 and scrapped at Darlington Works. Oval cast brass face restored complete with re numbering strip and clearly visible underneath the earlier number 2701. Measures 9in x 5in.

LNER cast iron seat back STANSTED from the former Great Eastern Railway station between Cambridge and Bishops Stortford. In original condition measures 27.75in x 4.25in.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 3821 ex Churchward 2-8-0 built at Swindon in 1940. Allocated to Stourbridge Junction, Oxley, Banbury and 89A Oswestry from where it was withdrawn in October 1964 and scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge. In original c ondition complete with British Railways receipt.

Totem BR(M) FF TROWELL from the former Midland Railway station between Stanton Gate and Ilkeston Junction. In excellent ex station condition. last in auction over 12 years ago.

Nameplate crest as carried by British Railways Deltic locomotive ROYAL SCOTS GREY. Built at English Electric Vulcan Foundry in 1961 and originally numbered D9000 and 55022 in 1974. Withdrawn in 1982 and purchased by the Deltic Fund. This crest was fi tted in August 2006 and was carried for the rest of the year before being removed at the East Lancs Railway. Chromed brass measuring 8in x 8.5in. It comes with a letter of authenticity from Martin Walker, former owner.

Worksplate Built 1964 SWINDON ex British Railways Class 14 diesel hydraulic in the number range D9500 to D9524. Oval cast aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 10.5in x 6in.

Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO CALEDONIA WORKS KILMARNOCK No 1125 1908 ex 0-4-0 ST delivered new to The Donibristle Coal Co Ltd, Cowdenbeath, Fife. Oval cast brass, face restored, measures 16.75in x 11.75in.

Nameplate GOLD COAST ex LMS Stanier Jubilee 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1934 and numbered LMS 5610 and BR 45610. Allocated to Kentish Town, Burton and 17A Derby from where it was withdrawn in January 1964 and scrapped at Derby works, these plates were re moved in 1958 when the locomotive was renamed Ghana. In faced restored condition. Rear stamped with one dot indicating this is the left hand side plate. This is the other side to the one we sold back in 2010.

London Transport enamel fascia sign UNDERGROUND. In excellent condition measures 59.5in x 11.5in. This pattern with the large U and D is seldom seen.

Smokebox numberplate 78005 ex BR Riddles STD Class 2 2-6-0 built at Darlington in 1953. Allocated to Oswestry, Machynlleth, Gloucester Barnwood and 85B Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and scrapped at Cashmore's Ne wport. Lightly face restored.

Works makers plate GEC ALSTHOM METRO CAMMEL BIRMINGHAM 1994 as fitted to the Eurostar power cars and coaches. In as removed condition, measures 8.75in x 5.25in.

Allocated to Annesley, Colwick and 37A Ardsley from where it was withdrawn in September 1963 and scrapped at Darlington Wo rks. Oval engraved brass, face lightly restored, rear stamped 3236. Measures 13.5in x 7.5in.

Furness Railway 3 Aspect Hand Lamp brass plated F.R.C. SANDSIDE No1. In nice original condition but missing its blue glass and reservoir and burner. Sandside was on the joining line between Hincaster on the London and North Western main line and Ar nside on the Furness.

Nameplate HOLKHAM HALL ex GWR Collett Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1941 as order number 340 and numbered 6926. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Severn Tunnel Junction, Oxley, Stafford Road, Shrewsbury, Tyseley and 84C Banbury from where it was wi thdrawn in May 1965. and scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge. In original condition with 6926 L stamped into the back indicating this is the left hand plate. Holkham Hall is an 18th-century country house near the village of Holkham, Norfolk, England, constructed in the Neo-Palladian style for the 1st Earl of Leicester, by the architect William Kent. The right hand plate is owned by the estate.

Named Aycliffe November 1984 to May 1988. Withdrawn from Immin gham August 1990 due to severe fire damage. Stored at Doncaster Works, Scunthorpe and Frodingham depot where it was cut up by staff from MRJ Phillips, Llanelly December 1995. Oval cast aluminium, face restored. Measures 9.5in x 5.75in.

LNER/BR(NE) locomotive headcode with paper letters 3Z91 on the front and RTN TO SM SALTBURN on the back. Rectangular steel with lamp bracket, in ex railway condition, measures 13in x 12in.

Colne Valley & Halstead Railway Company original Coat of Arms tastefully mounted on a mahogany shield with a letter pasted on the back from the Colne Valley Railway dated 7th November 1923 to W Worlford with the compliments of W. Hawkins. In very good condition, measures 15.5in x 14in. A rare survivor.

Worksplate BRUSH TRACTION ENGLAND No. 147 1959 ex British Railways diesel Class 31 originally numbered D5548 becoming 31130 May 1974. Allocated new to 32B Ipswich September 1959. Named Calder Hall Power Station July 1992 to June 1997. Stored at Crewe Diesel Depot Aug 1997 until sold for preservation June 1999 to the Battlefield Line, Shackerstone. Loco now based on the Avon Valley Railway and name reapplied. Oval cast aluminium, face restored. Measures 9.5in x 5.75in.

Worksplate GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY MAKERS DONCASTER No 915 1900 ex Ivatt D2 4-4-0 numbered GNR 1384 and LNER 4384. Withdrawn from Boston in March 1946 and scrapped. Oval cast brass, face restored, measures 12.25in x 7.5in.

Great Western Railway mahogany cased Home Signal Repeater, brass plated 1.5. In very good ex railway condition with free swinging pivot and lightening conductor. Stands 8.75in tall.

Tenderplate B.R.(W) 5-316 5000 Gallons. Ex Riddles WD Austerity 2-8-0 numbered WD 808, 70808 and 90315 in 1952 at Swindon. Allocated to Llanelli, Neath, Pontypool Road, Gloucester Barnwood, Banbury, Lancaster Green Ayre, Agecroft, Bolton and 36C Frod ingham from where it was withdrawn in November 1965 and scrapped by Garnham, Harris and Elton (Chesterfield). Oval cast iron in restored condition, measures 8.5in x 6in.

Totem BR(W) HF OSWESTRY from the former Cambrian Railway and Great Western Railway station between Whitchurch and Welshpool and the branch for Gobowen. In good condition with slight loss of shine.

Midland Railway machine engraved brass shelf plate AIS GILL. In good condition with original black wax infill. Measures 5in x .875in, together with another DOWN LINE 4.25in x .625in. Both in ex railway condition. Ais Gill summit is the highest point on the Settle to Carlisle Railway, at 1,169 ft above sea level.
