Allocated to Tunbridge Wells West, Exmouth Junction, Three Bridges, Watford, Willesden and 8F Springs Branch from where it was withdrawn in December 1966 and scrapped at Cashmore's Newport. Lightly face restored with BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast in the back.

LNER cast iron seat back SALTBURN from the former North Eastern Railway station on the branch line from Marske. Face restored with a neat central weld repair. Measures 28in x 4.25in.

Great Western Railway Wrights Patent coppertop 3 aspect handlamp stamped in the side GWR and brass plated WRIGHTS PATENT PETROLUEM HANDLAMP MANUFACTURED BY WILLIAM SUGG & CO LTD WESTMINSTER on both the reducing cone and the original copper reserv oir. In original condition complete with all glasses, a rare GWR lamp.

Totem BR(SC) FF GLENFARG from the former North British Railway Station between Kinross Junction and Perth. In very good condition with one face chip repair. An uncommon totem that last appeared at auction over 12 years ago.

North Eastern Railway signal box board SELBY from the box on the line between York and Doncaster, Wood with cast iron letters. In good original condition with some beading missing, measures 55in x 10.5in.

Cab Plate E6019 No2 END ex British Railways Class 73 Electric locomotive built by Vulcan Foundry in 1966 renumbered 73113 in 1974 and 73211 in 1988 and named County of West Sussex in 1986. Engraved aluminium measuring 4in x 1.5in. In as removed condi tion.

Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway split cased mahogany cased Block Bell with large mushroom bell and front tapper. Stamped MSLRY in the top and traffolite plated BARROW ROAD. In very good ex railway condition.

A chromed brass SENTINEL SWORD as removed from Sentinel Diesel numbered 68 and named Leslie and used at Manvers Main Colliery Wath. In original condition, measures 36in long.

South African Railways brass cab side number plate 1212 8DW. Ex class 8 4-8-0 locomotive built by Neilson Reid in 1903 as works number 6305. Supplied new to the Cape Government Railway and numbered 380 and then renumbered to SAR 1212. In good condit ion, measures 20.5in x 14.25in. Face restored rear original.

Nameplate Catherine. Carried by ex BR class 08 0-6-0 diesel shunter 08874. New to 41B Sheffield (Grimesthorpe) Nov 1960 as D4042. Withdrawn from Neville Hill Feb 1992 and sold to RFS Industries and numbered RFS023 and later RFS 005. Sold to RT Railto urs Oct 1998. Named Catherine at Bletchley Depot open day in Aug 1999 whilst on hire to Silverlink. Nameplates removed Dec 2007 and then reapplied Jun 2008. Currently owned by RMS Locotec and on hire to PD Ports, Teesport. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition, measures 29.75in 7.5in.

Allocated new to Truro and later 83E St Blazey from where it was withdrawn in June 1959 and scrap ped at Casmore's Newport. Oval cast brass measuring 13in x 8.5in. A rare worksplate.

Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE CO LTD LEEDS 325HP No 6663 1969 from a 0-6-0 Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive used at NCB Granville Colliery Staffordshire and numbered D1. Oval cast brass in face restored condition measures 11in x 8in.

Worksplate GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY MAKERS DONCASTER No 1492 1919 ex Gresley J50 0-6-0 T numbered GNR 211, LNER 3211, 8910 and BR 68910. Allocated for most of its working life to Ardsley and withdrawn from 56A Wakefield in November 1962 and scrapped at Doncaster Works. Oval engraved brass, face lightly cleaned, rear stamped 3211. Measures 12.25in x 7.5in.

London & South Western Railway Locomotive Whistle complete with mounting flange and valve. Stands 12.5in tall and has been lightly cleaned. Ex Drummond 700 class Black Motor 0-6-0 number 30339 or 30698. Nicely mounted on a mahogany plinth.

London Underground miniature type enamel target/bullseye sign ALDGATE EAST measuring 15in x 10.5in. In very good condition with one small face chip and complete with original 2 piece bronze frame which has a minor crack on the inner bottom screw hole . These desirable small signs were introduced in 1939 and were used on the deep level stations constructed in the 1935-40 programme and were mounted on facing walls , pillars and tunnel mouths.

Worksplate YORKSHIRE ENGINE CO LIMITED MEADOW HALL WORKS SHEFFIELD No2451 1950 ex BR-W Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT numbered 8458. Allocated new to Cardiff East Dock then Worcester and Didcot, withdrawn from 81A Old Oak Common in September 1963 and scrapped a t Swindon Works. Oval cast brass, lightly face cleaned, measures 11in x 6in.

Worksplate Andrew Barclay & Sons Co Ltd., numbered LWDMU 694 dated 1986. Ex 4-wheeled DH 230Hp Pacer Class 143, 2-car sets numbered 143601 to 143625, AB numbers 669 to 718/1985 to 1986 If plated in sequence this is ex Set 143615, . The initials s tand for Light Weight Diesel Multiple Unit. Bodies were built by Walter Alexander of Falkirk and the Underframes by AB. Cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 10in x 8in.

Smokebox numberplate 45561 ex LMS Stanier Class 6P Jubilee 4-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Company, Glasgow in 1934 and originally numbered LMS 5561 and named SASKATCHEWAN. Allocated to Preston, Bristol Barrow Road, Trafford Park, Kentish Town, Burton and 17A Derby from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge. Lightly face restored.

GWR hand engraved brass shelf plate NEATH ENGINE SHED BOX AVOIDING LINE. In good condition with original black wax infill. Measures 4.75in x 1.5in.

Nameplate BEN NEVIS ex British Railways Class 60 Diesel 60029 built by Brush Traction Loughborough as works number 931 in 1990. Nameplates were applied when built and removed in August 1997 and the locomotive renamed Clitheroe Castle. Rectangular cas t aluminium in as removed condition measures 39.5in x 9.75in. One of the best mountain names in the class. Note this is the other side to the one we sold in November 2021.

Allocated to Chester, Banbury, Oxley, Cardiff, Old Oak Common, Reading, Didcot and 81F Oxford from where it was withdrawn in July 1965 and scrapped at Birds, Long Marston. Face restored.

Tyers No6 brass and steel single line tablet CAMELFORD - PORT ISAAC ROAD ex London & South Western Railway section on the North Cornwall line. In ex railway condition complete with original Tablet pouch stamped Tyer & Co Dalston London, Table t measures 4.5in diameter.

Totem BR(W) HF ABERYSTWYTH from the former Cambrian Railway and Great Western Joint Railway station between Lampeter and Borth. This is the earlier half flanged brown flange version and is in very good condition with some minor face chips.

North British Railway Bulpitt 3 Aspect handlamp stamped in the side NBR 238S TOWNHILL and brass plated Bulpitt's Patent Sole Vendors Blackley Young & Co Glasgow. Complete with all glasses and original slot in reservoir. In original condition. Tow nhill was between Dunfermline and Cowdenbeath.

Worksplate BUILT CREWE 1962 ex British Railways Western Region Diesel Hydraulic Western Class 52 locomotive D1040 named Western Queen. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Cardiff Canton, Bristol Bath Road and Laira from where it was withdrawn in February 19 76 and scrapped. Oval cast aluminium, in basically as removed condition with 40 scratched on the front., measuring 10.5in x 6in.

LNER cast iron seat back BATTERSBY from the former North Eastern Railway station between Ingleby and Kildale. Face restored over original paint, measures 32in x 4.25in.

Worksplate Robert Stephenson & Co Ltd Darlington No 3836 1921. Ex Great Western railway Churchward 2-6-0 numbered 7304. Allocated to for most of its working life to 83B Taunton and withdrawn from there in December 1963 and scrapped at Birds Risca . Lozenge shaped cast brass face restored, measures 11.5in x 5.25in.

Smokebox numberplate 46114 ex LMS Fowler Royal Scot 4-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Company, Glasgow in 1927 and originally numbered LMS 6114 and named COLDSTREAM GUARDSMAN. Allocated to Longsight, Campden, Edge Hill, Willesden, Bushbury, Llandudno Junction, Holyhead, Anneseley and 16D Nottingham from where it was withdrawn in September 1963 and scrapped at Slag Reduction Co. Ltd., Ickles, Rotherham. Lightly face restored with a weld to one end.

GWR 19th Century Locomotive brass Splasher Coat of arms, as fitted to the Dean Singles, it measures 11.5 inch diameter and is in ex loco condition. A wonderful and historic survivor not to be confused with the later Swindon re cast brass plates that were sold in the 1980's, the originals have a hollow back and the paintwork is to a much higher standard.
