Worksplate LNER DONCASTER WORKS 3288 1904 ex Great Northern railway Ivatt C1 Atlantic 4-4-2 numbered GNR 288, LNER 3288, 2817 and BR 62817. Allocated to Hitchin, Kings Cross and 39B Sheffield Darnall from where it was withdrawn in May 1950 and scrapp ed at Doncaster Works. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 9in x 5in.
BR(W) brass cabside numberplate 8432 ex Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built by W.G.Bagnall in 1953 as works number 2942. Allocated to Old Oak Common and 81F Oxford from where it was withdrawn in July 1963 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Newport). Face restored.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD, LONDON. 2857/8152-1961, ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS LTD, LOCOMOTIVE WORKS, ENGLAND ex British Railways diesel Class 40 numbered D322. Allocated new to 5A Crewe North Apr 1961. This loco was involved in a collision with runaway wagons at Acton Grange Jn, Moore on 13th May 1966 whilst working the 20.40 Euston to Stranraer. Damaged beyond repair it was taken to Crewe Works and cut up Sept 1967 becoming the first of the class to be scrapped. Rectangular chromed brass, face lightly cleaned. Measures 10in x 4.5in.

Ayr before moving to MC Metal Processing, Glasgow and cut up May 1994. Chromed brass in as removed condition. Measures 10.25in x 4.5in
Smokebox numberplate 60072 ex LNER Gresley A3 pacific 4-6-2 built by the North British Locomotive Company, Glasgow in 1924 as class A1 and named SUNSTAR, originally numbered LNER 2571 and 72. Allocated to Gateshead, Tweedmouth, Copley Hill, Holbeck and 52B Heaton from where it was withdrawn in October 1962 and scrapped at Doncaster works. Face lightly restored rear with a steel plate bracing two vertical cracks which of course could be welded and the plate removed.
Nameplate KING PELLINORE ex Urie King Arthur 4-6-0 built at Eastleigh in 1919 and numbered SR 738 and later BR 30738. Allocated to Nine Elms, Feltham, Bournemouth and 70D Basingstoke from where it was withdrawn in March 1958 and scrapped. In face res tored condition but not skimmed, rear stamped 738.

Worksplate GREAT CENTRAL RLY BUILDERS GORTON WORKS 1911 ex Robinson A5 4-6-2T originally numbered GCR 23 then LNER 5023, 9806 and BR 69806. Allocated to Neasden, Colwick and 39A Gorton from where it was withdrawn in March 1960 and scrapped at Darling ton Works. Oval cast brass with 9806 stamped in the back, face restored. Measures 9.75in x 5.25in.
Pullman Type A brass table lamp stamped on the side of the base TC248. The first-class Pullman parlour car to which this lamp (from 1948) belonged was originally bestowed the name Minerva and built by the Birmingham RC&W Co in late 1924. It was l oaned almost immediately upon completion to the Wagons Lits Company in 1925 and numbered No.60 to run on Milan-Cannes Pullman services. During 1930, No.60 returned to the UK and was subsequently renamed Lady Dalziel and often allocated to the Golden Arrow. By 1948, it was remodelled as Car No.248 Third-class (second-class from 1956) until 1962 when it was converted back to first-class, and became Athene before withdrawal from service in September 1963. In good condition stands 20in tall.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 2350 ex Dean Goods 0-6-0 built at Swindon in 1884. Allocated to Lydney and 85C Hereford from where it was withdrawn in January 1953 and scrapped. Face restored with very clear boiler and engine details stamped in the rim .

Named Scunthorpe Steel Centenary March 1990-September 1995. Withdrawn from Immingham Sept ember 2003 and cut up by EMR Hartlepool September 2010. in basically as removed condition with some light touching up by the screw holes. Measures 7in x 4.75in.

Allocated to Dundee Tay Bridge and 64A St Margarets from where it was withdrawn in April 1961 and scrapp ed at Darlington works. In as removed condition with a vertical crack and a piece missing.

Withdrawn from 81A Old Oak Common Dec 1968 and cut up at J. Cashmore, N ewport May 1969. Diamond shaped cast aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 13.5in x 9.5in. Last of the class and one of the last locos NBL produced, the year being engraved in a raised pad.
Nameplate PROGRESS with separate MANCHESTER AIRPORT plate ex British Railways Diesel locomotive Class 47 built at Crewe Works as D1626 in 1964 later re numbered to 47045, 47568 and 47726. Named at Manchester Airport Station in November 1995 to mark the 1995 Chartered Institute of Transport conference held at Manchester Airport, nameplates removed in November 2002. Both plates are rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition, nameplate measures 52in x 9.75in and Manchester Airport 33.5in x 9.5in.
