Note: The company produced many railway breakdown cranes notably 8 wheel variety supplied to BR Western Region in 1958/1959. One of which resulted in the popular Airfix model.

Cast brass BMMO plate (Birmingham & Midland Motor Omnibus Co Ltd which was the limited company of Midland Red). This type of plate was used on Midland Red D7 and D9 double decker and single decker buses. Measures 13in x 6.75in, excellent conditio n.

LNWR half pint silver plate Tankard by Elkington. Bears a clear, Britannia crest with company initials on the side. Extremely good condition.
LMS large decorative Milk Jug with floral pattern engraving combining the company crest within on one side. Made by Walker & Hall, it stands 6in tall. Good used condition.
NER silver plate Cloche bearing the NER garter crest showing Refreshment Rooms Darlington. Made by Elkington, it is 5.25in diameter and approximately 3in tall. Good used condition.
BR Cant Gauge dated 1961 together with qty 4 BR Printing Blocks, three of which are totem shaped and one Lion over Wheel. (5 items)

LNER 9x5 brass Tenderplate No 7235 Darlington Works 1941. Ex Gresley V2 locomotive 60926. New to Gateshead as 4897 in 1941 then Heaton and finally Tweedmouth from where withdrawal took place in October 1962. Unrestored.

LNER 9x5 brass Tenderplate No 8874 Darlington Works 1923. Ex B16 Locomotive. Unrestored.
Reproduction German Worksplate Krauss Maffei Munchen No 17897 dated 1955. The Originals were used on DB 65 018, later owned by the Stoom Stichting Nederland society in the Netherlands, having been donated by a German railway museum in 1981. This cast aluminium plate measures 8.75in diameter.
A pair of Leyland Vehicles Ltd Chassis Plates. Ex British Railways Class 142 Pacer No 55772 and 55724. As removed when they were upgraded to Cummings engines in the 1990's. These are VIN plates as fitted to every goods vehicle in the UK, they were fi tted to class 142 vehicle bodies by Leyland Motors because they were bus bodies. The actual number ( VN ) will correspond to a particular coach. On the bottom is the engine type which on build were Leyland T 11, ( later rebuilt with Cummins engines ) Note that these are the only form of ID on class 142's. Thin alloy measuring 5.5in x 4in. Worksplate LMS BUILT 1949 HORWICH, oval CI with 43037 painted on rear. Predominantly a Sheffield loco, it had a short spell at Retford and lastly Barrow Hill from where withdrawal took place in April 1965. Face and rear restored.
Worksplate North British Locomotive 1926 Queen’s Park Works No 23459. Ex Fowler 0-6-0 loco number 44384. Initially allocated to Alsager, it moved to Crew, Plodder Lane, Heaton Mersey and finally Warrington from where withdrawal took place in October 1964. Brass diamond, all 4 bolt holes repaired.
Worksplate LMS BUILT DERBY with the number 58209 chalked on rear. A Sheffield, Derby and Coalville loco, withdrawn in September 1960. Oval brass with split around the right bolt hole.
LNER cast iron Gate Notice in original condition.
Worksplate BUILT 1958 CREWE. Ex 08 Shunter, oval cast iron still retaining original blue paint in ex loco with the exception of a weld repair which although somewhat rough on rear, it has only lightly removed the paint on the front.
