Worksplate BUILT 1948 HORWICH. Oval cast iron, this is the official pattern used at Horwich Works for locomotives built in the 1940's with feint stamping od 4 1840. A number of Flying Pig and Stanier Black 5’s were built that year at Horwich. As remo ved but lightly cleaned.
Worksplate LMS BUILT CREWE 1933.Oval brass, tastefully cleaned face. Ex Stanier 42961 which had a much travelled career around the Midlands and the North West after initial allocation to Kentish Town. Withdrawn in September 1965 from Heaton Mersey.
Worksplate BUILT 1958 CREWE, oval cast iron. Rear label states ex 9F loco 92225 which was a BR(W) loco throughout ending its days at Ebbw Junction being withdrawn from there and scrapped at J. Cashmore Newport. Clean, unrestored.
LMS Tenderplate No 4530 1933, face restored. Together with a brass oval Water Capacity 3500 Gallons, bereft of paint. Both ex 42961, the details of which appear in the previous lot description. (2 items)

GWR Blanket together with a GWR brass cased Pressure Gauge showing large company initials on face and pressure 0 to 100 psi. Measures 5in diameter and the case rim is stamped GWR and 4723. (2 items)

A miscellany of 15 Railway Rubber Stamps, noted Derby and Bow Works some having deteriorated; a selection of mostly BR Buttons; couple of badges; small brass key tags including Regional Stores Sheffield and another Plaistow; 13 assorted Makers Plates and other plates, of interest British Railways Loco No 1620 Bearing plate, an AEI brass plate, Crompton Parkinson and a couple of John Hastie Greenock plates.
A pair of brass Toilet Door Locks complete with separate handles and strike plates but no keys. Stamped MINI PATENT and manufactured by Stedall and Co Ltd London. (2 items)

Shedplate 55C Farnley Junction October 1956-November 1966. This ex LNWR shed was transferred from the LM region 25G in 1956, when all 50 locos received this code. In its final year it had just 5 Black 5s, a solitary 8F, and 3 Jubilees. In Restored co ndition.

British Railways large canvas folder containing 10 hand coloured section plans of Wolverhampton District Stations and Signal Boxes with mileage circa 1953. Plans include Ashchurch; Worcester; Kings Norton; Stourbridge; Tyseley; Stratford-on-Avon; Lea mington Spa; Kingham; Banbury and Wolverhampton plus a small index/key and an additional map of the overall district. Measures 29.5in x 20in and although there is some edge loss to the diagrams, this is a very good and most useful document.
Shedplate 55H Leeds Neville Hill January 1960-June 1966 for steam. This ex NER shed, formerly 50B, had around 20 steam locos using this code in the 1960s. Its large allocation of DMUs also sported such plates. In Restored condition.

Totem BR(W) EALING BROADWAY HF with no bottom flange. Ex GWR station between Southall and London Paddington. A little rough but decent colour and shine with some loss, as removed with one mounting bolt rusted into top flange.
GWR oak Office Chair, re-upholsters, branded on back with company initials.

GWR Hotels silverplate salt pot complete with blue glass liner. Marked GWR HOTELS in roundel on the front base marked Elkington Plate and date stamped for 1936. Together with a similar marked BETA on the face. Both are in excellent condition.
Wall mounted cast iron post box Edward VII and Crown. Complete with lock, key missing and wire front basket present. Makers name WT Allen & Co London cast into front. In original condition with later black plastic collection plate and one of the door pins needs replacing. Measures 28.5in x 10.5in x 13in deep.

Ex Robinson locomotive, built by NBL 21879 of 1918 as 1902 of the War Department (R.O.D.) then purchased by LNER in 1928 to become 6596 and classified O4/3. Rebuilt to an O1 at Gor ton in 1946 as 3796; the plate incorrectly showing 1944. Renumbered 63796 in 1948 when this plate was attached. Withdrawn from Annesley in October 1962 and cut up at Derby works in October 1963.

Ex Robinson locomotive, built by NBL 21853 of 1918 as 1876 of the War Department (M.O.D.) then purchased by LNER in 1925 to become 6505 and classified O4/3. The plate was attached at this t ime. Rebuilt to an O1 at Gorton in 1945 as 3780 becoming 63780 in 1948. Withdrawn from March in July 1963 and cut up at Doncaster works later that year.
Worksplate 9x5 LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY 1324 dated 1947. Ex Thompson B1 locomotive 61324, built June 1948 works number NBL 26225. A Scottish allocation, withdrawn from St Margarets in Oct 1965 and cut up at Campbells Airdrie in Dec 1965.
