Smokebox numberplate 41702 ex Midland Railway Johnson 1F 0-6-0 T built at Derby in 1880 and numbered MR 1412 and 1702. Allocated to Nottingham, Belle Vue and 39A Gorton where it worked as the shed pilot and withdrawn in June 1962 and scrapped. Light ly face restored.

Nameplate OAKLEY HALL ex GWR Collett Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1933 as order number 281 and numbered 5936. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Reading and 85B Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in January 1965 and scrapped at Swin don works. In good original cleaned condition rear stamped LOT No 281 L 5936 indicating this is the left hand plate. The Hall was near Basingstoke.

London & South Western Railway 3 Aspect handlamp stamped in the reducing cone and side L&SWR and also on the side BARNSTAPLE JUN. Complete with L&SWR reservoir, SR burner and all glasses intact. Lightly cleaned, a nice pregrouping example from a Devon location.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO LTD VULCAN WORKS NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS ENGLAND No 3589/E359 1965 ex British Railways electric class 73 numbered E6027. Rectangular chromed brass in as removed condition. Measures 10.25in x 4.5in. This locomotive damaged in a collision on 8 January 1972 at Horsham with the loco working an engineers train with E6010 struck the rear of the stationary 1202 London Victoria to Portsmouth Harbour being worked by 4CIG 7362 and 4BEP 7004, it was scrapped at Eastleigh around a year later.

New to 32B Ipswich Oct 1955, it spent all its working life in East Anglia until stored at Do ncaster Works Oct 1965 where it was withdrawn Oct 1966 and cut up Nov 1966. Oval cast brass, face restored, measures 11.5in x 8in.
Smokebox numberplate 90239 ex Riddles WD 2-8-0 built by the North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1943 as works number 25197 and numbered WD 7327, 77327 and BR 90239. Allocated to New England and 36C Frodingham from where it was withdrawn in No vember 1963 and scrapped at Doncaster Works. Numerals only restored the rest is as removed.
Great Western Railway Spagnoletti Crossing Keepers single line instrument complete with top mounted bell. Coil bracket stamped GWR and flag moves freely. In very good ex service condition, stands 18in tall.

The vendors father obtained these at Swindon works.

Nameplate BESCOT AND SALTLEY QUALITY APPROVED. Ex British Railways Diesel class 31 built by Brush in 1959 as works number 122 numbered D5523 and 31105 in 1974. Delivered new to 30A Stratford and named in January 1993, nameplates removed June 1997. 31 105 later became part of the Network Rail test fleet and is now preserved at Mangapps Railway. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition, measures 32.75in x 9.75in.

Allocated to Tebay for 30 odd years where it was used as a banker and 9B Stockport Edgeley from where it was withdrawn in April 1964 and scrapped at Cen tral Wagon Co., Ince, Wigan. Lightly face restored.
London Underground enamel Target/Bullseye station sign FINSBURY PARK. Measures 24in x 24in and is in very good condition. A famous mainline diesel depot which was home to the legendary Deltics.
Nameplate CONNAUGHT ex LMS Stanier Jubilee 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1936 and numbered LMS 5742 and BR 45742. Allocated to Crewe, Bushbury, Preston, Longsight, Carlisle Upperby and 12A Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn from in May 1965 and scrapped at Motherwell Machinery & Scrap, Inslow Works, Wishaw. In lightly face restored condition, rear stamped with two dots indicating this is the right hand side plate. Comes with original receipt from the London Midland Region and correspondence dated February 1966. Connaught is named after an Irish province which is divided into five traditional counties, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo, Galway being the only official city in the province.

Allocated new to 41A Tinsley in November 1961 and withdrawn from Bescot July 1995. Scrapped at CF B ooth, Rotherham June 2009. In good condition with data panel, measures 31in x 26in.

Great Western Railway cast iron tenderplate GWR 2377, 3500 GALLONS, SWINDON. From an intermediate pattern tender, one of ten tenders comprising Swindon Lot 112 built between July 1925 and January 1926 with higher sides than standard Churchward tender s and full length side fenders. They were used with several classes including Castles, Stars, Saints, Manors, 28XX and 43XX. Oval cast iron in restored condition, measures 8.25in x 6in.

Worksplate BUILT 1960 DONCASTER ex British Railways Class 03 originally numbered D2081 becoming 03081 May 1974. New to 56G Bradford Hammerton Street Feb 1960 and withdrawn from March Dec 1980. Sold for further use in Belgium working at Zeebrugge Port Authority and Geruppe Sugar Factory. Out of use by Sep 2000 it was repatriated in 2004 for preservation and is currently at Mangapps Railway Museum named Lucie. Oval cast iron, face restored, measures 10.625in x 6in.
British Railways Stainless steel depot plaque for Immingham depicting the Star and Garter as fitted to Class 37 37275 and named Stainless Steel Pioneer, later they were fitted to 37717 and removed in July 1996.Square stainless steel measures 17.75in x 17.75in. In as removed condition with D1500 on the back. These examples are unique to this locomotive.

Nameplate OUREBI ex LNER Thompson B1 4-6-0 built at Darlington in 1947 and numbered LNER 1026 and BR 61026. Allocated to Doncaster, Lincoln, Colwick and 40B Immingham from where it was withdrawn from in February 1966 and scrapped at Drapers Hull. Lig htly face restored. Comes with a 4mm Bachman model of the locomotive and also the original sales receipt from Charles Butters & Sons from the Derby auction in May 1965.

Furness Railway brass signal lever plate from Plumpton Junction box between Grange Over Sands and Ulverston. 6 UP HOME FROM PRIORY TO LAKESIDE 36 31 17. Engraved brass with original red wax infill and bracket to the rear, measures 6.75in long. Plumpt on was the junction for Windermere Lakeside and the Conishead Priory branch, the latter closing in 1916 though a short section to Bardsea Works was retained until 1994.

Sold to A Finlay, Birdwell for scrap and cut up on the premises of Barnsley Coking Co. Oval cast brass, face restored, measures 8in x 5in. First of the class.
