Great Western Railway Hotels silverplate large Wine / Champagne ice bucket. Marked with GWR Coat Of Arms and GREAT WESTERN ROYAL HOTEL base marked L & B. In excellent condition measures 9.5in tall x 7.5in diameter. The Great Western Royal Hotel P addington was opened in 1854 by Prince Albert and is now the Great Western Hotel (Hilton London Paddington). A stunning piece from this Grade 2 listed building.

Great Western Railway Hotels silverplate teapot with the GWR Twin Shield coat of arms one side and GWR TREGENNA CASTLE HOTLE in garter on the other. Base marked Elkington plate Sheffield and date marked for 1929. I excellent condition stands 5in tall , rare to find one in this condition from this famous hotel.

South Eastern Railway wooden mile marker 73 1/2. This is from the Appledore to New Romney Branch between Lydd town and Dungeness. The section remains open for removal of nuclear waste from Dungeness Power station. Later on these signs would have been replaced with cast iron ones. In good as removed condition measures 13in x 10.75in. A rare survivor from circa 1883.

Oval cast brass measures 9in x 5.25in. Face lightly cleaned.

Worksplate ANGLO FRANCO BELGE LA CROYERE BELGIQUE No 2683 1952. Ex South African Railways Ex SAR Class NG15 2-8-2 numbered 133. Withdrawn and purchased by the Festiniog Railway Company, for potential use on the Welsh Highland Railway. Heptagonal cast brass in as removed condition, measures 7in x 7in.

Worksplate AVELING & PORTER ENGINEERS ROCHESTER KENT ENGLAND BY ROYAL LETTERS PATENT No2350 1888 ex 10 ton single cylinder road roller. Dispatched new to Kirkleatham UDC Yorkshire, then to Redcar UDC and lastly to Bomford & Evershed Salford P riors. It was scrapped in the late 1930's. Oval engraved brass, face polished, and complete with most of the original black wax infill. Measures 10in x 7.5in.

Worksplate SOCEITE DE LAMEUSE LIEGE No 3289 1927. Ex 0-6-0T supplied to the large French mining company Mines D'Anzin and numbered 84, withdrawn circa 1962 and scrapped. Circular cast brass face lightly polished rear original, measures 13.75in diamet er.

Worksplate, LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY No 1610 DONCASTER 1924 from the LNER A1 / A3 Class 4-6-2 No 2554 / 55 / 60055 named WOOLWINDER. Allocated new to Doncaster in December 1924 and later Grantham, Gorton, Copley Hill and 34A Kings Cross from wher e it became the first of its class to be withdrawn in September 1961, scrapped at Doncaster works. Fully engraved brass, 13.25in x 7.75in, the front lightly polished, the back stamped 2554. From the collection of the late Willie Yeadon famous for writing the Yeadon's Registers.

Allocated to Gateshead, Heaton, Copley Hill and 50A York from where it was withdrawn in October 1964 and s crapped at Darlington works. Oval cast brass measures 9in x 5in, face cleaned. Worksplate BMAG 1941 11775 ex German - Deutsche Reichsbahn DRB 2-10-0 numbered DRB 50 1877 and DB 50 1877 and DB 051 877-9, and was withdrawn in 1973. Oval cast aluminium, in original condition. BMAG is the abbreviation for Berliner Maschinenbau AG. Measures 216mm x 138mm.

Allocated to Swindon, Weymouth and 82B Bristol St Philips Marsh from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 and purchased by London Transport and numbered L97 withdrawn and scrapped by January 1970 at Steel breaking & Dismantling Co., Chesterfield. Diamond shaped cast brass, face restored, measures 13.5in x 5.5in.

Allocated to Immingham, Retford, Doncaster and 41J Langwith Junction an from where it was withdrawn in June 196 4 and scrapped at T W Ward (Beighton). Diamond shaped cast brass, face restored, measures 13.5in x 5.5in, this is probably a Cowlairs made replacement.

A rare plate from a class of 6.

Allocated to Blaydon, Gateshead, Alnmouth and 52G Sunderland from where it was withdrawn in August 1965 and scra pped at Hughes Bolckows, Battleship Wharf, North Blyth. Oval engraved brass face lightly polished, measures 12.25in 6.5in.

Allocated to New England, Spital Bridge, Boston, Canklow, Colwick and 41J Langwith Junction from where it was withdrawn in June 1965 and scrapped at T.W. Ward, Beighton, Sheffield. Oval engraved brass, face lightly cleaned with Works Serial Numberplate DRG 171140 cast in the rear. Measures 12.5in x 6.5in.
