GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 2219 ex Collett 0-6-0 built at Swindon in 1940. Allocated to Machynlleth, Oswestry, Ebbw Junction and 83B Taunton from where it was withdrawn in March 1964 and scrapped at Slag Reduction Co. Ltd., Briton Ferry (Albio n Steelworks). Face restored condition.

Withdrawn from Laira whilst stored at Swindon Works Dec 1980 and cut up there Aug 1983. Rectangular cast aluminium, face restored over original paint, measures 13.125in x 6.625in.
Midland Railway/LMS signal lever plates x 4 consisting DISTANT FROM WIRKSWORTH TO PASSR, HOME FROM STATION JUNC, SETTING BACK DISC FROM UP SLOW LINE and DISTANT FROM WEST JUNC. Machine engraved brass, all in very good condition, measure 5in x 4in.
Bodmin & Wadebridge Railway Tyers single line tablet holder and hoop, clearly stamped with the company name, a rare survivor from this company absorbed into the L&SWR in 1886. In very good condition.
Smokebox numberplate 40693 ex LMS Fowler 2P 4-4-0 built at Crewe in 1932 and numbered LMS 693. Allocated to Buxton and 9A Longsight from where it was withdrawn in July 1959 and scrapped at Albert Loom Spondon. Lightly face restored.

Nameplate CITY OF HEREFORD ex LMS Stanier 8P Coronation class 4-6-2 built at Crewe in 1946 and numbered 46255. Allocated to Camden, Crewe North, Carlisle Upperby and 12A Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and scrapped at Arnott Young West of Scotland Shipbreaking, Troon, South Ayrshire. Face restored.

Midland and Great Northern Railway 3 Aspect Handlamp stamped in the reducing cone, handle and body M&GNJR and copper plated on the side M&GNJR 2314 P.W.D. 2 SECTION BOURNE. Complete with original reservoir stamped M&GNJR, burner reflector and all glasses. In nicely restored condition.
Glasgow & South Western Railway signal box shelfplate BARASSIE JCT. Hand stamped brass in ex box condition measures 4.25in x .75in.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD LONDON No 2920/D572 1960 THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND ex British Railways Deltic Class 55 originally numbered D9015. Renumbered 55015 in 1974 and named Tulyar. Withdrawn in January 1982 a nd now owned by the Deltic Preservation Society and is now nearing completion of a major overhaul and rebuild. Rectangular chromed brass face restored rear original, measures 10in x 4.5in.

Allocated to Norwich Thorpe, Stratford, Immingham, Carlisle Upperby and 12A Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdr awn in April 1967 and scrapped at J McWilliams (Shettleston). Face restored.
Totem BR(W) HF DROITWICH SPA from the former Great Western Railway station between Worcester and Wolverhampton. In excellent condition, the best example we have seen of this totem.
Pullman brass table Lamp type E with festoons, acanthus leaves and tendrils. In good original condition with plated finish, unfortunately it hasn't got a car number stamped in the base as most of this type were not marked. Stands 21.5in tall.
Nameplate HERCULES ex Avonside 0-6-0ST works number 1805 of 1918. Delivered new to Tredegar Iron and Steel and used at a number of Collieries in that area, including Beynon and Nine Mile Point, finally at Celynen South by 1955. Dismantled 1963, scrap ped around 5/64. Rectangular cast brass in as removed condition, measures 35in x 6in.

BR(M) FF enamel direction sign STATION with British Railways totem and right facing arrow. In excellent condition. Measures 21in x 10.5in.
Nameplate THE BURTON ex Gresley D49 4-4-0 built at Darlington in 1934 and originally numbered LNER 238, 2757 and BR 62757. Allocated to 53B Hull Botanic Gardens for most of its working life and withdrawn from there in February 1958 and scrapped Darli ngton Works. Curved cast brass nicely face restored, rear of nameplate and fox both stamped L 238 indicating its is the left hand plate and rare to find an original fox with matching numbers. Accompanying the lot is a reproduction 9x5 worksplate.

Smokebox numberplate 41226 ex LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2 T built at Crewe in 1948. Allocated to Northampton, Nuneaton, Llandudno Junction, Rhyl, Birkenhead and 6H Bangor from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and scrapped at Cohens (Morriston). Light ly face restored.
London Midland & Scottish Railway. Timetable display board with and oak frame and LMS at the top in shaded letters, Loughboro written on the back so probably ex Loughborough Midland station. In very good condition, measures 36in x 15.5in.
Nameplate GREAT NORTHERN ex GNR Gresley A1 Pacific 4-6-2 numbered GNR 1470, LNER 4470, 113 and BR 60113. Allocated to King's Cross, Grantham, New England and 36A Doncaster from where it was withdrawn in November 1962 and scrapped at Doncaster works. These nameplates were cast in August 1950 and applied in April 1951 when the locomotive received a heavy intermediate overhaul at Doncaster Works. Cast brass with original steel painted coat of arms face lightly polished. This plate is being sold on behalf of YMCA Doncaster.

London Transport Underground enamel target/bullseye sign MARBLE ARCH with a replacement bronze frame. In very good condition with a few chip repairs to the lower enamel semi circle. Measures 24in x 19in and is mounted on board for display.
Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO LTD, STEPHENSON WORKS, DARLINGTON, ENGLAND No. 3340/8393. 1963. Ex British Railways Class 37 originally numbered D6862 becoming 37162 Apr 1974. New to 87E Landore Jul 1963. Stored at Toton in 1999 until sent to SNCF France Sep 1999 returning to the UK Sep 2000 when it was withdrawn. Moved to Springs Branch Wigan for component recovery and the remains were cut up by CF Booth, Rotherham Dec 2005. Rectangular chromed brass, lightly face cleaned, measures 10.125in x 4.5in. One of only thirty class 37s built at Darlington.
Sykes steel cased Signal Repeater, these were supplied to the LB&SCR , SECR and GER and were used for fog signalling. In very good condition with the case restored, dial original. Measures 6.5in diameter. A scarce instrument.

Lightly face restored and comes with the original Swindon receipt dated October 1965.

Tyers No6 single line fibre tablet TISTED - WEST MEON from the section of the former Meon Valley line which closed in 1955. In ex railway condition measures 4.5in diameter.

New to 65A Eastfield Sep 1961. After a pe riod of storage at Toton it was moved to Channel Tunnel sidings at Cheriton in Nov 1991 on hire for use on tunnel trains and in France. Returned to the UK in Apr 1993 and withdrawn from Bescot Apr 1995. Sold for preservation to the East Lancs Railway. Currently owned by HNRC and stored at Shackerstone on the Battlefield line. Rectangular cast brass, face restored, measures 10in x 4.5in.
