Smokebox numberplate 70040 ex British Railways Riddles STD Class 7 Britannia 4-6-2 built at Crewe in 1953 and named CLIVE OF INDIA. Allocated to Norwich Thorpe, Stratford, Immingham, Carlisle Upperby and 12A Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdr awn in April 1967 and scrapped at J McWilliams (Shettleston). Face restored.

Totem BR(W) HF DROITWICH SPA from the former Great Western Railway station between Worcester and Wolverhampton. In excellent condition, the best example we have seen of this totem.

Pullman brass table Lamp type E with festoons, acanthus leaves and tendrils. In good original condition with plated finish, unfortunately it hasn't got a car number stamped in the base as most of this type were not marked. Stands 21.5in tall.

Nameplate HERCULES ex Avonside 0-6-0ST works number 1805 of 1918. Delivered new to Tredegar Iron and Steel and used at a number of Collieries in that area, including Beynon and Nine Mile Point, finally at Celynen South by 1955. Dismantled 1963, scrap ped around 5/64. Rectangular cast brass in as removed condition, measures 35in x 6in.

BR(M) FF enamel direction sign STATION with British Railways totem and right facing arrow. In excellent condition. Measures 21in x 10.5in.

Nameplate THE BURTON ex Gresley D49 4-4-0 built at Darlington in 1934 and originally numbered LNER 238, 2757 and BR 62757. Allocated to 53B Hull Botanic Gardens for most of its working life and withdrawn from there in February 1958 and scrapped Darli ngton Works. Curved cast brass nicely face restored, rear of nameplate and fox both stamped L 238 indicating its is the left hand plate and rare to find an original fox with matching numbers. Accompanying the lot is a reproduction 9x5 worksplate.

British Railways cast aluminium depot plaque for Crewe Diesel depicting the Cat. Square cast aluminium measures 17.75in x 17.75in in as removed condition.

Great Western Railway World War 2 steel helmet , marked on the front and rear GWR in roundel SP and Red Cross on a white circle. In very good condition complete with liner and strap and a small amount of surface rust on the rear edge. Ex Swindon Work s.

Smokebox numberplate 41226 ex LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2 T built at Crewe in 1948. Allocated to Northampton, Nuneaton, Llandudno Junction, Rhyl, Birkenhead and 6H Bangor from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and scrapped at Cohens (Morriston). Light ly face restored.

London Midland & Scottish Railway. Timetable display board with and oak frame and LMS at the top in shaded letters, Loughboro written on the back so probably ex Loughborough Midland station. In very good condition, measures 36in x 15.5in.

Sykes steel cased Signal Repeater, these were supplied to the LB&SCR , SECR and GER and were used for fog signalling. In very good condition with the case restored, dial original. Measures 6.5in diameter. A scarce instrument.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 9794 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built at Swindon in 1936. Allocated to Chester, Croes Newydd, Cardiff Canton, Cardiff east Dock and 88C Barry from where it was withdrawn from in September 1964 and scrapped at T.W. Ward, Bri ton Ferry. Lightly face restored and comes with the original Swindon receipt dated October 1965.

LB&SCR 3 Aspect Handlamp stamped in the side SR and brass plate on the reducing cone S[E]R. Brass plated LONDON BRIGHTON AND SOUTH COAST RAILWAY COMPANY and stamped BRIGHTON GOODS 1033. Complete with SBR reservoir, BR SR burner and all glasses. I n nicely restored condition.

Tyers No6 single line fibre tablet TISTED - WEST MEON from the section of the former Meon Valley line which closed in 1955. In ex railway condition measures 4.5in diameter.

Southern Railway enamel seat back EDEN PARK from the former South Eastern and Chatham Railway station between Elmer's End and Hayes. In good condition with some edge chipping and staining, measures 48in x 3in.

BR(NE) FF enamel doorplate STAFF ONLY. In very condition with one small face chip, measures 18in x 3.5in and retains its original brass rivets.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD LONDON ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS LTD LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND 2993/8245 1961 ex British Railways Class 20 originally numbered D8087 becoming 20087 Jun 1974. New to 65A Eastfield Sep 1961. After a pe riod of storage at Toton it was moved to Channel Tunnel sidings at Cheriton in Nov 1991 on hire for use on tunnel trains and in France. Returned to the UK in Apr 1993 and withdrawn from Bescot Apr 1995. Sold for preservation to the East Lancs Railway. Currently owned by HNRC and stored at Shackerstone on the Battlefield line. Rectangular cast brass, face restored, measures 10in x 4.5in.

BR(S) STATION direction sign with British Railways totem. Double sided screen printed aluminium complete with original mounting bracket, measures 23in x 10.5in.
