Shedplate 40E Colwick February 1958-January 1966. This ex GNR shed, formerly 38A, housed 150 locos while using this code. In January 1966, the shed was transferred to the LM region 16B, with closure in January of the following year. In restored condi tion.

Shedplate 87A Neath 1949-June 1965. This ex GWR shed was home to 60 locos during the 1950s. In its final few months this had dwindled to just 10. In as removed condition with clear Swindon casting marks to rear and edge.

Shedplate 11A Carnforth 1948-April 1958, then Barrow-in-Furness April 1958-June 1960. The ex LNWR shed at Carnforth was home to around 40 locos in the 1950s. The ex FR shed at Barrow had 50 locos in the short while it used this code. Face restored.

Shedplate 84A Wolverhampton Stafford Road 1949-September 1963, then Plymouth Laira September 1963-June 1973. The ex GWR shed at Wolverhampton had a star studded allocation throughout its BR life. In 1950 its allocation of 66 locos included 5 Counties , 10 Castles, 6 Stars, 6 Kings, 8 Halls and 2 Granges! By 1959, while the overall total had reduced to 47, its King allocation had gone up by 2! Plymouth Laira, formerly 83D, used this code for 7 months before it lost its steam allocation. However some of its diesels were known to have carried this style of plate. Shedplate 3B Bushbury 1935-June 1960. This ex LNWR shed housed 9 Jubilees among its allocation of 40 locos in the late 1950s. It was recoded to 21C in 1960, and closed to steam in April 1965. Lightly face restored, 50% of the money raised from this i tem will go towards the overhaul of 2857.

Shedplate 3C Walsall 1935 to June 1958 for steam. This ex LNWR shed at Ryecroft was home to around 60 locos in the 1950s. On losing its steam allocation it became a DMU depot until the mid 1960s. In as removed condition, this is a 1935 LMS pattern c ode. 50% of the money raised from this item will go towards the overhaul of 2857.

Shedplate 5C Stafford 1935 to July 1965. This ex L&NWR shed was home to just 25 locos during the 1950s, and in its final year had just 9 on its books. In as removed condition, 50% of the money raised from this item will go towards the overhaul of 2857.

Shedplate 21C Bromsgrove 1935 to February 1958. This ex Midland Railway shed was home to just 10 locos, including the famous Big Bertha and the LNER Beyer-Garratt. It was transferred to the WR, becoming 85F then 85D and finally closed in September 1 964. In as removed condition, 50% of the money raised from this item will go towards the overhaul of 2857.

Shedplate 71G Bath Green Park 1948 to February 1958 then Weymouth February 1958 to September 1963. The ex S&D shed in Bath was home to over 50 locos including the famous S&D 2-8-0s. Transferred to the WR, becoming 82F, it exchanged codes with ex GWR Weymouth shed, whose 20 GWR locos now sported the SR code. In September 1963 the depot received SR locos and was recoded 70G. Lightly face restored with typical Southern region casting marks on the front.

Shedplate 71B Bournemouth 1950-September 1963. This ex LSWR shed had a good number of Bullied Pacifics in its allocation of around 60 locos, notably 13 West Country and 7 Merchant Navy. It was recoded 70F and finally closed to steam in July 1967. Lig htly face restored with the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back and typical Southern region casting marks on the front.

Shedplate 70B Feltham 1950 to July 1967. This ex LSWR shed housed between 60 and 80 locos for most of its life; most notable being the ever present H16 4-6-2Ts. In original condition with the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back and typical So uthern region casting marks on the front, complete with two original bolts.

Shedplate 88B Cardiff East Dock 1949-1958, then Radyr 1960-1965. In partially restored condition with clear Swindon casting marks.

Shedplate 83B Taunton 1949-October 1964. This ex GWR shed was home to around 60 locos in the 1950s which included a handful of pre group saddle tanks as well as a dozen Halls. In restored condition has been welded, with clear Swindon casting marks on the back.

Shedplate 40B Immingham 1949-February 1966 for steam. The ex GCR shed housed over 120 locos in the 1950s being noted for its GCR D11 4-4-0s. It was one of the last sheds on the Eastern Region to have a steam allocation. Lightly face restored rear ori ginal.

Shedplate 72A Exmouth Junction 1950- September 1963. This ex LSWR shed to the east of Exeter had over 120 locos allocated throughout this period. At its peak it had 33 Bullied Light Pacifics and 7 Merchant Navies as well as 5 of those exotic Z class 0-8-0 tanks. In September 1963 it received the WR code 83D. Face restored condition with the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back and typical Southern region casting marks on the front.

Shedplate 8F Springs Branch February 1958-closed to steam December 1967. This ex LNWR shed, formerly 10A, had an allocation of 60 locos when it adopted this code. It became a diesel depot using this code until 1973. In restored condition.

Shedplate 2J Aston September 1963-October 1965. This ex LNWR shed, previously 3D and 21D, was home to 8 Britannias and 2 Jubilees in its allocation of 30 locos. Face restored rear original.

Shedplate 8B Warrington Dallam 1935-October 1967. This ex LNWR shed was home to 55 locos in the 1950s. At various times during the 1960s it had 10 Patriots, 18 Jubilees, and 2 Black 5 namers in its allocation. Light face cleaned.

Shedplate 41H Staveley Central February 1958-June 1965. This ex GCR shed, formerly 38D, was home to 40 locos when it took on this code. In original condition.

Shedplate 26A Newton Heath 1935-September 1963, then recoded 9D with closure to steam in February 1968. This ex LYR shed had a 1950s allocation of 170 locos, the vast majority carrying this early LMS pattern code produced at Horwich. Of note were two of the four named Black 5s and 8 Jubilees. Lightly face restored.

Shedplate 89A Oswestry 1948 to January 1961, then Shrewsbury January 1961 to September 1963. The former Cambrian Railway shed had an allocation of around 50 locos including 6 Manors during the 1950s. It was recoded 89D, then 6E and closed in January 1965. The ex GWR/LNWR Joint shed at Shrewsbury, formerly 84G, had an allocation of 100 locos including Counties, Castles, Manors and Halls when using this code. Recoded 6D, it closed to steam in September 1967. In lightly cleaned original condition, rear and edge with clear Swindon casting marks.

Shedplate 1A Willesden 1935-September 1965. This ex LNWR shed was home to over 130 locos in the 1950s and in its final few months still maintained 70.Face restored.

Shedplate 1D Devons Road Bow 1949-August 1958 for steam, total closure October 1964. This ex NLR shed had an allocation of 50 in 1950. It became the first diesel only depot on the system; a number of the new diesels also carried this code. Face resto red.

Shedplate 30A Stratford 1949-September 1962 for steam. The ex GER shed at Stratford had the largest allocation of any depot in the United Kingdom, with a total of nearly 400 locos. It was mostly noted for its Sandringhams and Britannias in steam days and the diesel depot continued using this code until May 1973. Face restored.

Shedplate 31B March 1949-December 1963 for steam. This ex GER shed was home to 160 locos in the 1950s including 10 B17 Sandringhams. Shortly before closure it was also home to 14 Britannias. Many of its diesel allocation also carried this code. Face restored, rear has plenty of brake dust so probably from one of their diesel allocations.

Shedplate 86F Tondu 1949-September 1960. This ex GWR shed was home to around 45 locos, and was recoded 88H in 1960, eventually closing in February 1964. in original condition with correct Swindon casting marks to rear and edge and 9487 painted on the rear.

Shedplate 64B Haymarket 1949-September 1963 for steam. This ex NBR sheds star filled allocation in 1959 numbered 5 A1s, 10 A2s, 15 A3s, 7A4s, 4 B1 namers, 6 D11s, 4 D49s, and 2 named J36s. This left only 16 unnamed engines in a total of 73!!! Its all ocation of Deltics would also carry this code at some time in their life. Face restored rear original.

Shedplate 66F Beattock July 1962-May 1967. Formerly 68D, this ex CR shed was home to just 7 locos in 1965. In lightly cleaned condition.

Shedplate 66A Polmadie 1950-1972 with sub sheds of Motherwell and Paisley. Face restored rear original.

Shedplate 32B Ipswich 1949-10/59 steam, 1988 totally. The ex GER shed housed 10 B17 Sandringham's in its 1950s allocation of almost 100 locos. It still had 50 steam locos on its books when it finally became a diesel only depot in 1959. Many Class 31s also carried cast 32B plates. Face restored rear original.

Shedplate 73A Stewarts Lane 1950 to June 1962. This ex SECR shed had an allocation of over 100 locos during this period. Of note were 7 King Arthurs, 6 Schools 13 Bullied Light Pacifics and 3 Merchant Navy's. In June 1962 it was recoded 75D, and lost its steam allocation in September 1963. It is still a Repair and Maintenance depot for diesel and electric locos and a servicing point for steam locos. Face lightly restored with the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back and typical Southern region casting marks on the front.

Shedplate 71A Eastleigh 1950-September 1963. This ex LSWR shed housed eleven King Arthurs and eight Lord Nelsons among its 1950 allocation of 140 locos. By the time it changed code to 70D in 1963, fifteen West Country pacifics were present in a total of 100 locos. Closure to steam came in July 1967. In lightly face restored condition with typical Southern region casting marks on the front and the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back.

Shedplate 75A Brighton 1950 and closed to steam June 1964. This ex LBSCR shed had a 1950s allocation of around 75 locos, most notable being the Brighton Atlantic's and a large number of the Schools 4-4-0s. A handful of West Country Pacifics were also maintained here. In lightly restored condition with typical Southern region casting marks on the front and the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast into the back.

Shedplate 89B Brecon 1949-November 1959. This ex B & M shed lost its allocation of 13 locos in November 1959 and became a sub shed of 89A Oswestry. For some reason the WR authorities decided to recode it 88K in January 1961, but no engines were e ver allocated! It remained open until December 1962. Face restored, rear original with clear Swindon casting marks in the edge and rear.
