Worksplate BRUSH TRACTION ENGLAND No. 88 1958 ex British Railways Class 31 toffee apple originally numbered D5517 becoming 31017 Apr 1974. New to 30A Stratford Sep 1958 and withdrawn from there May 1980. Moved to Swindon Works Mar 1981 and cut up Jan 1983. Oval cast aluminium, face restored, measures 9.5in x 5.75in.

GWR/BR(W) mahogany cased Block Bell with front tapper and church bell. Traffolite plated WELLINGTON No3 BOX and THROUGH LINES. In very good ex railway condition.

Nameplate CYCLOPS ex British Railways Diesel Class 47 numbered D1673 and 47087 built at Crewe in 1965 and allocated to 86A Cardiff Canton. Named at Bristol Bath Road depot in June 1966. Rectangular cast aluminium face restored over what looks like re d paint rear in as removed condition with plenty of corrosion, measures 38.5in x 8.25in. This is one of the original plates fitted with small rivets as opposed to the later replacements which were fitted with Jo bolts.

Tyers No6 brass and steel single line tablet HEACHAM - HUNSTANTON from the former Great Eastern Railway line in Norfolk from Kings Lynn to Hunstanton which closed in 1969. Hand engraved in very good condition.

Great Western Railway Reform Patent 3-aspect HANDLAMP. The top is clearly embossed GWR. Reform Patent. The reducing-cone bears a curved brass plate, embossed Petroleum. Light 10 Minutes Before Using. Complete with vessel; Reform Patent brass/ceramic burner; reflector; wide brass lens bezel, and all glasses.

GWR hand engraved brass shelf plate FROM GLYNNEATH. In good condition with original black wax infill. Measures 4.75in x 1.5in. From one of the boxes on the Vale of Neath line.

Brighton Railway small Oil Can, brass plated BRIGHTON RAILWAY COMPY and steel plated W.CROYDON. In very good ex railway condition, stands 6.5in tall. An extremely rare survivor from a company that became the London Brighton & South Coast Railway in 1846.

Ex GWR Collett 0-6-0PT built at Swindon in 1936 and allocated to Whitland, Fishguard Goodwick, Swindon, Hereford, Tyseley and 84F Stourbridge Junction from where it was withdrawn from in November 1964 and scrapped at Arnott Young, Avonmour Ironworks, Bilston. In lightly cleaned original condition.

Nameplate THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ex British Railways Class 37 diesel 37251 built by English Electric Company as works number 3508/D939 in 1964. New to 86A Cardiff Canton in December 1964 it was named at Aberdeen station on 4th November 1992 as part of t he Aberdeen 125 events. Nameplates were removed August 1999. Loco withdrawn from Motherwell December 1999 and scrapped by CF Booth, Rotherham September 2001. Rectangular cast aluminium basically in as removed condition with a small repair to the bottom left hand 2 nd fixing hole where a crack is, measures 39.25in x 9in and comes with original EWS authenticity certificate.

In very good displayable condition with some well executed restoration, mounted on a back board. Measures 2 8in long. A rare target last at auction over 10 years ago.

South Eastern & Chatham Railway three-aspect miniature INSPECTORS HANDLAMP. The body has a scalloped corner brass plate stamped E Vidgen. Complete with original unmarked reservoir, all glasses, and a small chip to the front lens.

London & South Western Railway waiting room oil lamp stamped L&SWR in the back above the reflector and front of the reservoir. In good original condition complete with Sherwoods Duplex burner, glass chimney and reflector. Stands 14in tall.

Tyers No6 brass and steel single line tablet WOLFERTON - DERSINGHAM from the former Great Eastern Railway line in Norfolk from Kings Lynn to Hunstanton which closed in 1969 and section for the Royal station at Wolferton. Machine engraved in very good condition.

Totem BR(NE) FF (wide box flange) MALTON with black edged letters from the former North Eastern Railway station between York and Scarborough. In very good condition with one face chip repair, not a common totem.

Smokebox numberplate 5097 ex GWR Collett Castle 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1938 and named SARUM CASTLE. Allocated to Shrewsbury, Stafford Road, Bristol Bath Road, Cardiff Canton and 88L Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn in March 1963 and scrapped at Cashmore's Newport. Lightly face cleaned.
