Worksplate NEILSON & CO GLASGOW 5018 1896 ex Great Northern Railway Stirling J52/53 0-6-0ST numbered GNR 1047 LNER 4047, 8784 and BR 68784. Allocations included Hornsey and 36A Doncaster from where it was withdrawn in November 1957 and scrapped at Doncaster works. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 9.75in x 6.875in

A pair of worksplates and whistle. ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO CALEDONIA WORKS KILMARNOCK No 362 of 1942 ex 0-4-0 DM supplied new to Army and numbered 70047. It saw service in France as was part of the D Day landings, then to Barby near Rugby 1952, Suez 1952, Marchwood 1960 and named Mulberry, Liphook Hants in 1966, renumbered Army 201 in 1968 to Radway Green Alsager and renamed FROG, moved to Foxfield Railway by 1994 and currently privately owned at Long Marston with replacement plates. Worksplates are oval cast brass both lightly face cleaned and measure 16.75in x 11.75in, the organ pipe whistle as originally fitted to this loco measures 12.25in long. A chance to obtain a set from this historic locomotive.

Sawcut cabside 47321 ex British Railways Class 47 built by Brush in 1964 as works number 564. Originally D1802 re-numbered to 47321 Apr 1974. First allocation 41A Tinsley Jan 1965 and withdrawn from there Sep 1995. Stored at Tinsley until moved to Bo oth Roe, Rotherham and scrapped May 1998. In grey neatly trimmed aluminium, measures 28.5in x 8in.

Virgin Super Voyager class 221 cast aluminium nose cone badge. In as removed condition measures 10.5in x 10.5in.

Worksplate SHARP STEWART & CO LIMITED ATLAS WORKS GLASGOW 4692 1900 ex South Eastern and Chatham Railway Wainwright C Class 0-6-0 numbered SR 1720 and BR 31720. Allocated to Hither Green, Bricklayers Arms, Faversham, Nine Elms, Dover Marine and 7 3F Ashford from where it was withdrawn in October 1961 and scrapped at Ashford works. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 9.75in x 6in.

British Railways Lion over Wheel cast aluminium Crest, ex Class 83 or 86 Electric loco. Measures approximately 18in x 18in. In basically as removed condition with traces of BR blue paint and the correct casting number and stampings in the rear and al so the number 32 which relates to either class 86 E3132 or Class 83 E3032. Rare to find one of these with a loco number.

Worksplate BRUSH TRACTION ENGLAND No. 241 1960 Ex British Railways Class 31 diesel originally numbered D5641 becoming 31216 Mar 1974 and 31467 Mar 1985. Allocated new to 34G Finsbury Park Aug 1960. Stored at Bescot Mar 1998 and remained there until s old for preservation to the East Lancashire Railway Jan 2000. However, it was broken up for spares in Nov 2003 with the outer shell sold to HNRC in May 2008 and scrapped at EMR Kingsbury Aug 2008. Oval cast aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 9.625in x 5.75in.

Southern Railway enamel target station sign LEWES from the former London Brighton and South Coast Railway station between Brighton and Polegate. In fair condition with some restoration around the edges and has faded. Measures 24in long and is mounted on its original board.

Totem BR(SC) FF CANONBIE from the former North British Railway station between Riddings Junction and Langholm. In very good condition with four minor face chip repairs. A rare totem last at auction over 7 years ago.

Worksplate AVONSIDE ENGINE CO BRISTOL 1432 1902 ex 0-6-0ST delivered new to Lime Firms Llandebie Ironworks Pentre Gwenlais Carmarthen and named Eleanor, scrapped in August 1960. Oval cast brass, in face restored condition, measures 14in x 8in. This is the large Two star Pattern Avonside pattern rarely seen.

Totem BR(S) FF WADDON MARSH HALT from the former London Brighton and South Coast Railway between West Croydon and Mitcham Junction. In excellent condition with one minor face chip, a rare totem only at auction twice before the last time 14 years ago.

In RES Red neatly trimmed aluminium, measures 32.5in x 11in.

Pullman Type G brass table lamp as used in the Third class Brighton Belle and Southern Electric Pullman's. In good original condition stands 22in tall. Note as this operates at 24v under no circumstances should it be used on a 240v home supply.

Stored at Crewe ETD Sep 1982 and withdrawn from Longsight Aug 1983. Moved to Willesden for spares Jul 1984 until taken back to Crewe Mar 1989 and stored again. Moved to Booth Roe Metals, Rotherham Jun 1993 and scrapped. Rectangular aluminium, front repainted, measures 18in x 5in. A rare plate with only 10 in the class.

Totem BR(W) FF PARSON STREET from the former Great Western railway station between Bedminster and Flax Bourton. In good condition with a couple of small face chip repairs and slight loss of shine.

Nameplate EARL OF DUDLEY ex GWR Collett Castle 4-6-0 5045 and GWR Collett Dukedog 4-4-0 3202. 5045 was originally named Bridgwater Castle when built at Swindon in 1936 but these were removed and replaced with the Earl plate from the Dukedog in Septem ber 1937. Allocated to Old Oak Common and 84A Wolverhampton Stafford Road from where it was withdrawn in September 1962. and scrapped at Cox & Danks, Oldbury. In original condition.

Worksplate GREAT CENTRAL RY BUILDERS 1919 GORTON WORKS MANCHESTER. Locomotives built that year were Robinson Class 04 & 05 2-8-0's and Butler Henderson. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 10.5in x 6.75in, both mounting holes have been profes sionally repaired. Note this is the far less common pattern with Manchester at the bottom.

Worksplate BRITISH RAILWAYS DERBY BUILT 1964 POWER EQUIPMENT BY ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES LTD AND SULZER Ex British Railways Class 25 diesel in the number range D5240 to D5299, D7500 to D7520 (25090 to 25170). Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition. Measures 13in x 6.5in.

A pair of Southern Railway carriage ventilation covers from the Bulleid Waterloo and City carriages, fully titled SOUTHERN REGION. Cast aluminium, in very good condition, each side measures 13in x 8in and mounted on wood for display. Note these were used in the trailing cars.

Harpers 1 Wire 2 position Block Telegraph Instrument. Probably ex Great Northern Railway Ireland. In very good condition stands 22in tall.

LMS Hotels silverplate Elliptical FRUIT BOWL marked with LMS HOTELS on the front. Base marked Gladwin Ltd Sheffield. In excellent condition measures 11.25in x 8.25in x 3.75in tall. An unusual shape and was part of the private collection of Ian Jack w ho was the last Chairman of British Transport Hotels.

Smokebox numberplate 90631 ex WD 2-8-0 built for The War Department by Vulcan Foundry in 1944 and numbered 8626, 78626. Renumbered to 90610 by British Railways in 1949. Allocated to 56A Wakefield from where it was withdrawn in April 1967 and scrapped at Arnott and Young Parkgate. In restored condition.

Worksplate LMS BUILT 1943 G.W.R. ex LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 built at Swindon in the number range LMS 8400-8426 and BR 48400-48426. Oval cast brass face restored with LMS cast into the back, measures 10.5in x 6in.
