Worksplate BUILT 1959 HORWICH. Ex British Railways Class 08 originally numbered D3865 becoming 08698 Apr 1974. New to 17A Derby Dec 1959 and withdrawn from Motherwell Sep 2005. Moved to Thornaby and stored there from Dec 2006 until Jan 2011 when sold to CF Booth, Rotherham and cut up Feb 2011. Oval cast iron, face restored, measures 10.5in x 6in.
Smokebox numberplate 43274 ex Midland Railway Johnson 3F 0-6-0 built by Neilson Reid & Co in 1891 and numbered LMS 3274. Allocated to 9D buxton for most of its working life and withdrawn from there in January 1959 and scrapped at Albert Loom Spon don. Lightly face restored.

British Railways Carriage destination board CAPITALS UNITED EXPRESS PADDINGTON CARDIFF SWANSEA. Laminated fibreglass in very good condition measures 22in x 16in. This style of board was introduced in 1961 for the Diesel hauled express.
British Railways Lion over Wheel cast aluminium Crest, ex Class 82, 83, 84, 85 Electric loco. Measures approximately 18in x 18in. In as removed condition with the correct casting number and slightly different stampings in the rear.

Ex British Railways Class 04 shunter originally numbered 11215 becoming D2245 Feb 19 59. New to 50B Neville Hill Nov 1956 and withdrawn from 50D Goole Dec 1968. Sold into preservation at the Derwent Valley Railway and then moved to the Battlefield line, Shackerstone in 1978. Currently at the Derwent Valley Light Railway. Oval cast brass, face restored measures 8in x 5in. Note this is the rare pattern of the BR Drewry supplied loco plates.

Allocated to Reading, Gloucester Horton Road, Severn Tunnel Junction and 86G Pontypool Road from where it was withdrawn in August 1963 an d scrapped at R.S. Hayes/Birds, Tremains Yard, Bridgend. In lightly cleaned condition.

Lightly face restored.
BR(M) FF enamel doorplate PARCELS AND LEFT LUGGAGE. In very good condition with some minor chipping to the screw holes. Measures 18in x 6in. Ex Widnes North.
GWR combined nameplate and numberplate SEDGEMOOR 3339 GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY SWINDON WORKS 1762 (MARCH 1900 erased and re instated for display in paint) ex Dean Bulldog 4-4-0 built at Swindon in 1900 as No 3351 as works number 1762. Renumbered 3339 in 1912. The plate is stamped in the rim with engine and boiler class and also stamped in the back 3351. The number 3339 in brass and steel has been riveted over the original number. Allocated to Gloucester and withdrawn from Worcester in April 1936 and scrapped. A superb plate that has never appeared at auction before.
Worksplate GREAT NORTHERN RY CO MAKERS DONCASTER WORKS No 1207 1908 ex GNR Ivatt Class J1 0-6-0 numbered GNR 7, LNER 3007, 5006 and BR 65006. It spent most of its working life at 35A New England and was withdrawn from there in July 1951 and scrapped at Doncaster works. Oval hand engraved brass face lightly cleaned. Measures 17.5in x 9.5in.

New to 50A York Jul 1961, it was withdrawn from Hea ley Mills Jan 1982 and moved to Swindon Works in May 1982 but not cut up until Nov 1985. Rectangular chromed brass in as removed condition, measures 10.125in x 4.5in.
Totem BR(SC) FF CRAIGENDORAN from the former North British Railway stations between Helensburgh and Cardross and also on the West Highland Line between Cardross and Helensburgh Upper. In very good condition with two minute face chips. It is thought t hat the better condition totems from this station come from the closed West Highland line platforms.

New to 41A Tinsley Jan 1966, it was withdrawn from Bescot May 1991 a nd sold to BREL and then to CFD Industrie, Auton for use in constructing the TGV line and became CFD 2004 Jun 1992.Returned to the UK in Sep 2005 and sold into preservation at the Vale of Glamorgan, Barry Railway Centre and remained there until moved to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway in 2020 after restoration. Rectangular chromed brass, face restored measures 10.25in x 4.5in.
BR(W) brass cabside numberplate 9475 ex Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd in 1952. Allocated to Gloucester Horton Road, Penzance, Duffryn Yard, Neath (Court Sart) and 88B Radyr from where it was withdrawn in May 1965. Scrapped later the same year at Birds Morriston. In nicely restored condition.

Southern Railway 4 Aspect Motorman's Handlamp, stamped on the side SR and brass plated on the reducing cone C HEASMAN MOTORMAN PORTSMOUTH 1194. Complete with SR marked reservoir, burner and Red, Blue and Purple glasses. In nicely restored condition.
Totem BR(S) FF KINGSTON from the former London & South Western Railway station between Wimbledon and Twickenham. In very good condition with one small chip repair.
Nameplate GEORGE BORROW ex Anglia Railways Class 150 Diesel Unit numbered 150229. Named at Lowestoft station in October 1994 after a well known local author. Engraved stainless steel in as removed condition, measures 18in x 15in.
Nameplate ROTHER VALE No 1 ex Yorkshire Engine Co 0-6-0ST built in 1929 as works number 2240. Delivered new to United Steel Co, Rothervale Collieries, Treeton Colliery, then Maltby in 1950, scrapped in late 1969. Cast brass in original condition, mea sures 36in x 13.5in. Note: A previous loco with this name became the famous Rothervale No 0 when the new loco was delivered in 1929.
Worksplate KITSON & CO LEEDS 1894 ex Cardiff Railway 0-6-2 T designed by Ree, Cardiff Railway No 1, GWR No 156. Withdrawn in February 1931 and scrapped. Oval cast brass, face cleaned and rear chalked 156. This is the rare small pattern Kitson mea suring 6.25in x 3.75in.
Worksplate BRUSH SULZER No. 550 1964. Ex British Railways Class 47 originally numbered D1788 becoming 47307 Feb 1974. New to 41A Tinsley Dec 1964. Unofficially named Bunting in 1989. Withdrawn from Bescot Feb 1999. Sold to Fragonset Railways in 2002 and stored at MOD Kineton until moved by road to EMR Kingsbury May 2007 and scrapped there in May 2008. Oval cast aluminium in as removed condition with traces of BR green paint, measures 9.25in x 5.75in.

LNER mahogany cased Dual Line Block instrument ivorine plated WILLERBY. In very good ex railway condition, stands 19in tall. From one of the former Hull and Barnsley Railway boxes between South Howden and Hull closed in 1964.

Ex O-4-0ST built in 1902 for Appleby Iron and then the order was cancelled, held in stock, then sold to a contractor in 1904 and worksplate altered to the new date.
