An early and quite substantial wood cased Signal Box Telephone. Measuring 18in x 9.5in, it has the early, separate bakelite mouthpiece and separate earpiece. Brass bell at the top and two call switches at the bottom. In excellent condition.
An unusual wood cased Signal Box Telephone with bakelite handset in top cradle. The front has a rotary count-down switch used for calling, a blue light with a brass surround engraved ENGAGED and a typed location display showing UP STARTING TO QUARRY GAP BOX. Believed to be from the Laisterdyke area, quite possibly Laisterdyke Signal Box. Stands 14in tall x 6.5in x 6.5in. Extremely good condition.
A large, wood cased Signal Box Telephone with bakelite handset in side cradle. Has a 4 position rotary switch in the centre and a double call bell beneath. A lightning conductor is fitted to the bottom. Measures 18in x 5in x 4.5in and is in extremely good condition.
A trio of Signal Box Telephones comprising: Standard type wood cased with bakelite handset on the side and bell beneath. Twin push buttons in the centre with usual traffolite plate showing LISTEN BEFORE RINGING SPECIAL CODE. Written in the location p anel is Kings Lynn Tel Office, Kings Lynn Jnct Box, Diesel Depot, March Office.; a similar but the call buttons are further spaced in front of a brass backplate which is engraved with the call instructions; a simple wooden cased receive only with bakelite handset cradled at the front. LMS wood cased Signal Box Switching Out Box with hinges all marked LMSR, measuring 17in x 6in x 9.25in, some scratches to the top. Together with an Evershed & Vignoles BR Megger with side plate showing double arrow logo S&T Eng Dept York. The other side has the original, slide-in instruction plate for earth testing and calibration. The top carries the metal makers plate and a further plate showing instrument number within the S&T department. The leather strap has a quick release button with opening flap beneath revealing the meter. A heavy and substantial item measuring 13.5in x 6.5in x 6in. (2 items)
Miscellany comprising: A Signal Track Circuit enamel diamond as affixed to signal gantries showing that the signal is track circuited at the signal box so that the train driver/fireman is aware. The T indicates there is a phone available. Measures 25 in x 12in and is in very good condition. a couple of BR First Aid tin boxes, one marked BR(M), the other blank, neither have contents; cast iron Bell Push embossed and stamped inside 5674 and stamped outside 5674; a cast iron Bell Push largely embossed GNR TEL with a brass push button; a brass frame mounted on a wooden block showing Station Codes ALFORD to GRIMSBY including Aby - Legbourne Road - Louth North - Ludboro - Holton le Clay - Waltham - Hainton Street - Grimsby Goods Junction - Grimsby Grdn Street; a few plastic signal spectacle colour aspects; a few lamp burners and some sundry items.

Hallmarked silver 60 link Watch fob measuring 14.5in long and having a hallmarked silver medal attached, engraved Presented by Lincoln Electric Theatre. It weighs 51g including the fob.

Great Western Railway stoneware Ink Bottle nicely inscribed near the base with full company name. Stands almost 7.5in tall and is in extremely good condition. Together with x2 GWR Telegraph Insulators of the much scarcer company marking on the side i n small lettering rather than embossed into the top cap. Also an unusual pair of wooden jam pots with cast iron lids, no railway markings. (5 items)
