Midland Railway steel Tunnel Plate ARMATHWAITE TUNNEL 325 YARDS. Built between 1870 and 1871, it is the first tunnel encountered heading south on the Settle and Carlisle Railway. Measures 51in x 21in and totally ex lineside condition. A scarce item f rom this iconic railway.
Worksplate ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS LTD 7135 Newcastle & Darlington 1944. Ex Austerity 0-6-0T which worked latterly at Bickershaw Colliery. Notably, the cylinders and boiler were used in the 1985 construction of IRON DUKE for the GWR 150 th anniversary celebrations. Oval cast iron measuring 12.5in x 8.5in, left bolt hole loss.
