Ex O-6-0 Diesel Hydraulic supplied new to British Steel Strip Products Division Llanwern Works Newport. It was noted out of use there in 1998 and presu med scrapped. Rectangular chromed brass, in as removed condition measures 10.25in x 4.625in.
Totem BR(W) FF SWAN VILLAGE from the former Great Western Railway station between Birmingham Snow Hill and Wolverhampton. In very good condition with slight loss of shine and one face repair. This hasn't appeared at auction for over 10 years.
South Eastern & Chatham Railway locomotive fireman's shovel. Measures 34in long and is branded SECR twice. In very good condition and a rare pre grouping survivor.
Worksplate W. G. BAGNALL LTD ENGINEERS STAFFORD ENGLAND No 2961 1950 ex 0-4-0ST. Supplied new to Chislet Colliery, Westbere. Kent, scrapped in May 1969. Oval cast brass in original condition, measures 11.75in x 7in.
Nameplate HARDWICK GRANGE ex GWR Collett Grange Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1936 as order number 308 and numbered 6818. Allocated to Carmarthen, Llanelli and 86B Ebbw Junction from where it was withdrawn in April 1964 and scrapped at Birds, Risca , Newport. In very good lightly cleaned condition with R 6818 stamped in the back indicating this is the right hand side plate. The Grange was near Abergavenny.
Midland Railway cast iron Lamp Post complete with ladder bars. Cleary marked Midland Railway Company on the base, it stands approximately 133 inches tall from the base to the top and is in very good condition. Probably ex Rochford station on the Lond on Tilbury and Southend Railway line or one of the adjacent stations. Buyer to arrange collection from Rochford Essex.
BR(S) enamel railway station entrance sign BRITISH RAILWAYS HENFIELD with two totems either end. From the former London Brighton & South Coast Railway station between Shoreham and Horsham, often referred to as the Steyning Line which closed in 19 66. Measures 52.5in x 11.75in and is in very good condition with a few minor chips.
Cab makers plate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE CO LTD 1958 THE GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD ex British Railways diesel class 16 in the number range D8400 to D8409. Diamond shaped cast aluminium face restored, measures 9.75in x 4.25in. A rare plate as th ere were only ten in the class.
Totem BR(W) HF BRECON from the former Neath & Brecon/Brecon & Merthyr station in central Wales, opened 1867 provided access to the Brecon and Merthyr, the Mid Wales, and the Hereford, Hay and Brecon Railways which were all completed about thi s time. A complex yet quite fascinating history. Closed in Oct 1962 to passengers. In very good ex station condition with one face chip, very slight loss of shine and complete with original top fixing from under the canopy.
BR(M) FF enamel doorplate FIRST AID. In very good condition with one minor face chip, measures 18in x 3.5in. A superb doorplate and probably unique.
Diesel locomotive radiator front badge NORTH BRITISH. As removed from one of the Dallam steelworks diesel locomotives. Rectangular cast iron in restored condition, measures 34.75in x 3.5in.
BR cast iron locomotive tenderplate BR3 1111 1954 ex Riddles BR Standard Class 2 2-6-0 numbered 78037 built at Darlington. Allocated to Preston, Skipton, Springs Branch, Derby and 10D Lostock Hall from where it was withdrawn in May 1967 and scrapped at Motherwell Machinery and Scrap (Wishaw). In as removed condition measures 8in x 5.75in.
GWR machine engraved brass shelf plate NAVAL COLLIERY JUNCTION. In very good condition with original black wax infill. Measures 4.75in x 1.5in.
Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO CALEDONIA WORKS KILMARNOCK No 1876 1925 ex 0-4-0 Fireless supplied new to Northfleet Paper Mill in Kent and after withdrawal in 1979 it was presented to the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway as a static exhibit. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 16.75in x 11.75in.
Worksplate BUILT BY THE BIRMINGHAM RAILWAY CARRIAGE & WAGON Co. LTD. SMETHWICK ENGLAND SERIAL No. DEL 143 1961. Ex British Railways Class 33 originally numbered D6551 becoming 33033 Jan 1974. New to 73C Hither Green Apr 1961 and withdrawn from St ewarts Lane May 1993. Stored at Stewarts Lane until broken up on site by staff of MRJ Phillips, Llanelly Jan 1997. Chromed brass, face restored measures 8in x 5.875in.
Totem BR(SC) HF CONNEL FERRY from the former Caledonian Railway station between Callander and Oban and site of the famous twin road and rail bridge. In very good condition with a few small well executed face chip repairs.
Great Western Railway brass cabside numberplate 2043 ex Dean 0-6-0PT built at Wolverhampton works in 1898. Allocated to Lydney, Gloucester Horton Road, Hereford and 6C Birkenhead Mollington Street from where it was withdrawn in January 1955 and scrap ped. In nicely restored condition with boiler and class details stamped in the rim, one of only a handful of this class known to have survived.
British Railways tri note chime locomotive whistle ex Riddles STD Class 7 4-6-2 Britannia or a STD Class 5 4-6-0. Stands 15in tall and is in nice original condition.
A pair of Great Eastern Railway Fire Engine Lamps, copper and brass, one stamped GER and the other lettered GER (G missing). One retains part of its original makers plate Merryweather & Sons Long Acre London. Both in very good condition, 9in and 8in tall. Ex Stratford Works Fire Engine.
Nameplate RESTORMEL CASTLE ex Class 57 57602. Originally built as Class 47 D1818 at Brush Works in 1965 and later becoming 47337 Herbert Austin until converted to Class 57 at Brush Traction, Loughborough in Nov 2003 for use by First Great Western on the Night Riviera sleeper services. Named at Par station on 28/9/04, this original nameplate was replaced by new ones in the same style as the Class 43 Castle Class HSTs. Still in service with Great Western Railway. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 57.5in x 10in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railways and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.
Smokebox numberplate 42225 ex LMS Fairburn 2-6-4T built at Derby in 1946 and numbered LMS 2225. Allocated to Plaistow, Tilbury, Neasden, Saltley, Rowsley, Derby and 12E Tebay where it was used as a banking loco on Shap until withdrawal in June 1966, scrapped at Motherwell Machinery & Scrap, Inslow Works, Wishaw. Face Restored.

Allocated to Kentish Town, Cricklewood, Derby, Burton, Leicester, Woodford Halse , Llandudno Junction, Shrewsbury, Carlisle Kingmoor and 9F Heaton Mersey from where it was withdrawn in March 1968 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Great Bridge). Rectangular cast brass face restored, measures 8.25in x 5in.
LNER Great Central pattern 4 Aspect Handlamp stamped in the side LNEC and steel plated with a relocation plate NEWMARKET. In good original condition with a LNER reservoir and burner, orange glass cracked.
London Midland & Scottish Railway copper water urn. Embossed on the front LMS and stamped WOL complete with lid, brass handles and tap. In excellent condition and no doubt could be used, measures 11in diameter x 13in tall.
BR(M) FF enamel doorplate STATION MASTER. In very good condition with a couple of minor face chips, measures 18in x 3.5in. This is the less common single line version.

Nameplate RICHARD ex Peckett 0-4-0ST built in 1944 as works number 2054 and supplied new to the Bedlington Coal Co., Northumberland. Passed to National Coal Board in 1947 and used at Bedlington and Whittle collieries. Rectangular cast iron in as remo ved condition, measures 28in x 6.25in.

Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO LTD CALEDONIA WORKS KILMARNOCK No 459 1960 ex British Railways Class 06 0-4-0 DM numbered D2432. Allocated new to 66C Hamilton and withdrawn from 65A Eastfield in December 1968 and sold to The locomotive was so ld to R. E. Trem & Company, Finningley, near Doncaster. They in turn sold it to Shipbreaking (Queenborough), Queenborough, Isle of Sheppey, Kent it remained in use there until it was exported to Italy in March 1977. Oval cast aluminium with some original paint left on the front, measures 9.75in x 7.25in.

Nameplate AILSA CRAIG ex British Railways Class 60 Diesel 60044 built by Brush Traction Loughborough as works number 946 in 1991. Nameplates were applied when built and removed in in 1996 . Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 39.5in x 9.75in. Ailsa Craig is an island in the outer Firth of Clyde and its granite is used make curling stones.

Worksplates a pair. YORKSHIRE ENGINE Co LTD MEADOW HALL WORKS No 1047 1910 and YORKSHIRE ENGINE Co LTD MEADOW HALL WORKS No 1102 1911. Oval cast brass both in good lightly cleaned condition, measure 6in x 4in. These do not appear in the list of locom otives built by the company and are possibly from a coal cutter as they made a great deal of machinery for the coal industry. The only locomotive plates of this size on locos are those on ex- GC J11 class which have build dates of 1904-5.

Nameplate badge from AJAX ex British Railways Diesel class 50 built by English Electric in 1968 as works number 3816/D1187 and numbered D446 renumbered 50046 in February 1974 and named at Plymouth in October 1978. Withdrawn in March 1992 from Laira a nd scrapped at MC Metals (Springburn). Cast aluminium in very good condition, measures 8.5in x 6.5in.
Great Northern Railway crossing gate lamp interior brass plated GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY No17167, stamped GNR in the base and steel plated HONING EAST. From the former Midland & Great Northern Railway station that closed in 1959. In original condit ion stands 10.5in tall.

Smokebox numberplate 5695 ex GWR Collett 0-6-2 T built at Swindon in 1927. Allocated for most of its life at 88F Treherbert and withdrawn from there in 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's Newport. Lightly face restored.
Worksplate 8856 LIMA LOCOMOTIVE WORKS INCORPORATED LIMA, OHIO-U.S.A. JUNE,1945. Diamond shaped cast brass in as removed condition with slight damage to the right hand bolt hole, measures 16in x 9.5in together with its owners plate TRANSPORTATION CORP S 5197 U.S.ARMY SPECIFICATION No T-1569 W-33-092-TC-2639 MANUFACTURED BY THE LIMA LOCOMOTIVE WORKS No 8856 APRIL JUNE 1945 ex S160 2-8-0. Rectangular cast brass in as removed condition measures 13in x 7.5in. It was exported to China in 1946 where it was classified as KD6 by the Chinese State Railways, and numbered KD6 463, it worked in the Chinese Coal Industry around Fushun, and was withdrawn in the 1990s. It was saved from scrap and now operates on the Churnet Valley Railway with replacement cast aluminium plates.
Nameplate SIR SAGRAMORE ex Urie / Maunsell King Arthur 4-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1925 and numbered SR 771 and later BR 30771. Allocated to Dover Marine, Stewarts Lane, Basingstoke, Bournemouth and 72B Salisbury fr om where it was withdrawn in April 1961 and scrapped. In face restored condition and not skimmed, rear stamped 771 and measures 39.5in long.
