Smokebox numberplate 48676 ex LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 built at Brighton in 1944 and numbered LMS 8676. Allocated to Heaton Mersey, Warrington, Widnes, Aintree, Sutton Oak and 8F Springs Branch from where it was withdrawn in October 1967 and scrapped. A rare pattern with LMS style lettering only used on a few of this class, photographs show this plate as being used in service up to the end. Lightly face restored.

Totem BR(SC) HF TYNDRUM UPPER from the former North British Railway station between Crianlarich and Fort William. In excellent condition and last at auction 13 years ago.

Flamecut cabside panel 37416 ex British Railways Diesel locomotive built by English Electric in 1965 and originally numbered D6602 and 37302 in 1974 and lastly 37516 in 1985. 37416 was repainted at Toton depot in April 2004 in EWS Royal Scotsman Maro on Livery and withdrawn June 2006 and scrapped. In good condition with some angle removed, measures 26.5in x 35 in.

BR(NE) FF double sided enamel railway station direction sign STATION with British Railways totem and arrows. In excellent ex railway condition complete with original lead beading and mounting bracket, measures 21in x 10.5in.

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD. LONDON THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LTD. LOCOMOTIVE WORKS, ENGLAND No. 3235/D760.1962. Ex British Railways Class 37 diesel originally numbered D6806 becoming 37106 Feb 1974. Allocated new to 41A Tinsley Jan 1963 and withdrawn from Toton Mar 1999. Moved to Springs Branch, Wigan CRDC for component recovery and scrapped there Aug 2000. Rectangular chromed brass face restored, measures 10.25in x 4.5in.

Nameplate SPARTAN ex British Railways diesel Hydraulic Warship Class 42 built by the North British Locomotive Company Glasgow in 1961 as works number 27973 and numbered D844. Allocated new to 83D Laira and withdrawn from 83A Newton Abbot in October 1971. Scrapped the following year at BREL Swindon. Cast aluminium, face in original condition rear with red oxide and 844 visible in yellow and plenty of BR blue paint on the edges. measures 34.5in x 11.125in.

Nameplate WINDWARD ISLANDS ex LMS Stanier Jubilee 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1934 and numbered LMS 5637 and BR 45637. Allocated to Sheffield, Crewe North and 8A Edge Hill where it was shedded when involved in Britains worst peacetime railway disaster at Harrow & Wealdstone station on 8th October 1952 involving three trains, one a Euston to Liverpool express double headed by Princess Royal No 46202 piloted by 45637. Both engines were damaged beyond repair and 45637 was cut up at Crewe Works by 23 January 1953. In original condition, rear with two dots indicating this is the right hand side, the other side resides in the Doncaster Grammar School collection. The plate comes with an official copy of Ministry of Transport report into the collision and a hardback book by LFE Coombs about the disaster.

Moved to Doncaster Works Mar 1984 and the bodywork was scrapped Jun 1984, the underframe and bogies were used for transporting power units around the works until broken up in 1987. Rectangular chromed brass face cleaned, measures 10.125in x 4.5in.

Great Western Railway locomotive brass safety valve cover probably from a Pannier Tank or 14xx. In very good condition measuring 26in diameter at the base x 22in tall.

Totem BR(W) FF NEWTON ABBOT from the former Great Western Railway station between Teignmouth and Totnes. In excellent condition.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 5045 ex Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1936 and named BRIDGWATER CASTLE renamed EARL OF DUDLEY in 1937. Allocated to Old Oak Common and 84A Wolverhampton Stafford Road from where it was withdrawn in Septe mber 1962. Scrapped later the same year at Cox & Danks, Oldbury. Face restored, rear original.

Southern Railway enamel target station sign EAST BRIXTON from the former London Brighton & South Coast Railway station between London Victoria and Peckham Rye. In very good condition with some edge chipping, measures 36in long.

Tenderplate LMS No 10537 1945 ex Stanier Black Five 4-6-0 numbered LMS 4912 and BR 44912. The locomotive was allocated to Low Moor, Copley Hill, Royston and 55A Leeds Holbeck from where it was withdrawn in September 1967 and scrapped at Cashmore's Gr eat Bridge . Rectangular cast iron with a small crack in the corner, face restored, measures 7.875in x 5.875in.

Nameplate HESPERUS ex Manning Wardle 0-6-0 ST built in 1876 and originally named Ringing Rock and used on the Narbeth Road and Maenclochog Railway and later the North Pembrokeshire and Fishguard Railway. Acquired by GWR in 1898 and later rebuilt by t he GWR and numbered 1380 in 1912. The locomotive was purchased by the Kent & East Sussex Railway and renamed Hesperus in 1915 and numbered 8. Withdrawn in 1939 and scrapped in 1941. Rectangular cast iron in the same condition as the other side that belongs to the National Collection and is on display at the Colonel Stephens Museum. Measures 24in x 5.5in.

Cabplate BUILT BY THE BIRMINGHAM RAILWAY CARRIAGE & WAGON CO LTD SMETHWICK ENGLAND 1961 SERIAL No DEL 144 ex British Railways Class 33 Diesel originally numbered D6552 and 33034 in 1974. Allocated to 73C Hither Green and withdrawn from Eastleigh in January 1988 and scrapped at Ludgershall. Rectangular cast brass in as removed condition measuring 4in x 3in.

Tyers No6 brass and steel single line tablet HOLE - HALWILL. From the former London & South Western Railway section on the North Cornwall line closed in 1966. Stamped Not in Use on the back, measures 4.5in diameter.

Worksplate BRITISH RAILWAYS DONCASTER 1965 ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT BY ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES & THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC Co LTD. Ex British Railways Class 86 electric originally numbered E3135 then 86040 in 1973 and 86256 in 1975. Named Pebble Mill in 1981 and Withdrawn October 2002 and scrapped in 2006 at Ron Hull Jr, Rotherham. Rectangular cast aluminium, face lightly restored over original paint with 86256 stamped in the back. Measures 8.5in x 5.75in.

Midland Railway Candlestick type signal box Telephone with an original early style handset which comes complete with the bakelite curved mouthpiece. The mahogany box is stamped twice in the back MR Co Stands 17.5in tall. In excellent condition.

In orig inal condition with some repairs to the bottom beading, measures 96in x 24in and retains its Western Region Chocolate and Cream paint. Believed to originate from Dudley LNWR station.

Smokebox numberplate 6011 ex GWR Collett King 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1930 and named KING JAMES I. Allocated to Stafford Road and 81A Old Oak Common from where it was withdrawn in December 1962 and scrapped at Swindon Works. In nicely face restored condition.

GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 7228 ex Churchward 2-8-0 T built at Swindon in 1926 and originally numbered 5263, renumbered 7228 in 1935. Allocated to Slough, Didcot, Llanelli, Banbury, Severn Tunnel Junction and 88C Barry from where it was withdr awn in July 1963 and scrapped. Face restored with a neat weld repair.

Southern Railway enamel target sign GILLINGHAM from the former London & South Western Railway station in Dorset between Salisbury and Templecombe. In very good condition with minor edge restoration and slight loss of shine, mounted on a board mea sures 30in long.

BR(M) mirror LONDON MIDLAND MAIN LINES & CONNECTING LINES. Shows a map of the lines out of Euston, St Pancras and Marylebone all the way up to Carlisle. Thick bevelled mirror glass in an original mahogany frame, measures 12in x 7in. In excellent condition.

Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway cast iron UMBRELLA STAND cast with LYR initials at the top and complete with drip tray. In excellent condition. Measures 28in tall x 21in wide x 12in deep.

Totem Fascia sign BR(NE) DARLINGTON from the former North Eastern Railway station between York and Newcastle and site of the locomotive works. This one off Totem was manufactured for use as a fascia sign for the station entrance and the copy of the l abel dated 22nd April 1954 confirms this. In excellent condition measures 58.5in x 13.5in.

Southern Railway enamel direction sign SOUTHERN ELECTRIC with feathered arrow beneath. Double sided, one side in very good condition the other with minor edge chipping. Measures 27in x 12in.

GWR machine engraved brass shelf plate WINDMILL END JUNCTION. In very good condition with original black wax infill. Measures 4.75in x 1.5in.
