Nameplate THE SOUTH WALES BORDERERS ex Great Western Railway Churchward Star 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1910 as order number 180 and numbered 4037 and named Queen Philippa, rebuilt in 1926 as a Castle Class 4-6-0 and renamed to The South Wales Bordere rs in 1937. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Penzance, Newton Abbot, Landore and 83C Exeter from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Newport). In lightly cleaned original condition.

Totem BR(SC) HF DALMENY from the former North British Railway station between Haymarket and Inverkeithing and adjacent to the famous Forth Bridge. In good condition with a small crease repair and slight loss of shine.
Cabside numberplate LIDKOPING – KALLANDS JARNVAG 1. Ex 2-6-0T narrow gauge locomotive built in 1908 by Nydquist & Holm as works number 890. Rebuilt as a 2-6-2T in 1930 when the locomotive was passed into Lidkoping Jarnvagar ownership. The line it worked on closed in 1939 and was lifted by 1941. Oval cast brass face restored measures 20.75in x 12.5in. Some research and photographs from the Swedish Railway Museum accompanies the lot.
Great Central Railway Tyers Double line Block Instrument. Stamped GCRY in the top and bottom. In very good original condition, stands 19in tall.
London Underground enamel target/bullseye station sign REGENTS PARK. Measures 28in x 22in and is in excellent condition.
Totem BR(S) FF BRAMLEY from the former Great Western Railway station between Mortimer and Basingstoke. In very good condition with two small chip repairs.

GCR signalbox board NESTON from the former Great Central Railway Box on the line between Hooton and West Kirby. Wood with cast iron letters, in restored condition, measures 54in x 10in.
Nameplate badge from British Railways Diesel Class 37 37059 PORT OF TILBURY. Named in 1988 by John Macnab Chief Executive of the port of London Authority, nameplates removed in June 1996. Rectangular cast aluminium face restored and with a small repa ir to the top right hand corner, measures 13.25in x 8.5in.
Tyers No6 brass single line tablet HATHERLEIGH - HOLE. From the former London & South Western Railway section on the North Cornwall line closed in 1966. Stamped Not in Use on the back, measures 4.5in diameter.
Totem BR(W) FF WELLINGTON SALOP from the former Great Western Railway station between Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury. In very good condition with 3 face chip repairs, this is the less common Fully flanged version.
Smokebox numberplate 6159 ex GWR Collett 2-6-2 T built at Swindon in 1933. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Southall and 81E Didcot from where it was withdrawn in June 1965 and. Face restored.
Great Western Railway cast iron cabside numberplate 4646 ex Collett 0-6-0PT built at Swindon in 1943. Allocated to Banbury, Stourbridge Junction and 2A Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in November 1966 and scrapped at Cashmore's Newport. In partia lly restored condition.
Nameplate DORNEY COURT ex GWR Churchward Saint Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in December 1911 and numbered 2940, named after the Court one mile north-west of Windsor. Allocated to 86C Cardiff Canton by January 1948 and withdrawn from there in January 1952 and scrapped at Swindon Works in April 1952. In nicely restored condition.

Worksplate HUDSWELL CLARKE & Co LTD LEEDS D629 1945. Ex 0-4-0 DM delivered new to Springfields Munition factory Salwick and named Sparky, later Sprignfiedls became British Nuclear Fuels producing the fuel for the first commercial nuclear reactor at Calder Hall. Withdrawn and eventually preserved and now on display at the Ribble Steam Museum along with its sister D628 Mighty Atom whose worksplate is featured elsewhere in this auction. Oval engraved brass in lightly polished condition, measures 12.875in x 8.125in.
LNER mahogany cased single line pegging block instrument brass plated DOWN LINE And plated on the dial FROM CARDIGAN ROAD. In very good ex railway condition stands 18in tall. Cardigan Road was a former North Eastern Railway box in the Leeds area.

SR cabside numberplate SOUTHERN RAILWAY 1089. Ex South Eastern Railway Stirling F Class 4-4-0 originally numbered SER 89 and later SR 1095. Built at Ashford in 1895 and later rebuilt to class F1 in December 1906. Allocated to Battersea and withdrawn in February 1937 and scrapped. Oval cast brass, in original condition complete with both mounting studs. Measures 13.5in x 7.5in.

Measures 12.75in x 5.125in. Together with a non motorised 00 Hornby model of the loco.

Nameplate BESCOT AND SALTLEY QUALITY APPROVED. Ex British Railways Diesel class 31 built by Brush in 1959 as works number 122 numbered D5523 and 31105 in 1974. Delivered new to 30A Stratford and named in January 1993, nameplates removed June 1997. 31 105 later became part of the Network Rail test fleet and is now preserved at Mangapps Railway. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition, measures 32.75in x 9.75in. This is the other side to the one we sold a year ago and has naming stamping details in the back.
