London & North Western Railway Fletchers Double Line mahogany cased Block Instrument, traffolite plated ELLESMERE PORT No 4 and DOWN RECEPTION LINE. In very good ex railway condition complete with bell, both needles move freely. Stands 24in tall.
Nameplate UNIVERSITY OF SURREY ex BR class 73 73117. Built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry as works number 3585/E355 in March 1966, named in July 1987 and the name removed in January 1999. Locomotive is now owned by GBR as number 73968. Cast alumi nium in lightly face cleaned condition measures 73in x 10in. Complete with a DB Cargo (UK) Ltd certificate of authenticity.
Nameplate KAPAI and matching Worksplate ex Peckett No 1532 1920. Rectangular cast brass face restored, measures 19.25 x 6.5. The Worksplate - PECKETT & SONS LTD BRISTOL No 1532 1920 face restored oval cast brass and measures 12in x 8.5in. Ex NCB Pooley Hall Colliery, Polesworth nr. Tamworth Staffs. Scrapped at Birds Long Marston from where it was obtained at the time. The name is apparently of New Zealand origin.
Nameplate CITY OF WINCHESTER ex GWR Churchward City Class 4-4-0 No 3441 built at Swindon in 1903 and numbered 3441 and 3718 in 1912. One of ten locos named after cities served by the GWR, it was a sister engine of the preserved City of Truro. Allocat ed to Reading and Old Oak Common where it was the first of its class to be withdrawn in October 1927. This is the left hand plate, the top of the beading pin punched L 3718. Lightly restored a long time ago. One of only 2 City named plates to ever come onto the open market.

Smokebox numberplate 51371 ex LYR Barton Wright 0-6-0ST. Originally built as 0-6-0 tender engine in 1885 by Kitson as works number 2228, rebuilt as a 0-6-0ST in 1893 and numbered LYR 164 and LMS 11371. Allocated to Bank Hall, Accrington and 26A Newto n Heath from where it was withdrawn in March 1961 and scrapped at Horwich works. In original condition.
Worksplate HUDSWELL CLARKE & CO LTD RAILWAY FOUNDRY LEEDS No D961 1956 ex 0-6-0 DM supplied to the National Coal Board Ollerton main colliery numbered 6 and named Ollerton. Oval engraved brass lightly face cleaned, measures 12.75in x 8in.
GWR Brass cabside numberplate 6866 ex Collett Grange 4-6-0 Grange built at Swindon in 1939 and named MORFA GRANGE. Allocated to 84E Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in May 1965 and scrapped at Cashmores Great Bridge. Face restored.

Ex Raven B16 numbered LNER 2371, 1442 and BR 61442 Allocated to Gateshead, York, Starbeck and 50B Leeds Neville Hill from where it was withdrawn in February 1960 and scrapped at Darlington works. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 9in x 5in.

Nameplate ENVIRONMENT AGENCY ex British Railways Class 43 HST 43097. Allocated new to Heaton Aug 1978. Previously named The Light Infantry (11/83-4/90). Named at Bristol Temple Meads station on 5/9/06 and carried until removed in 2019 when it was nam ed Castle Drogo. Still in service with GWR. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 33.25in x 9.875in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.

Allocated new to 67C Ayr and withdrawn from 62C Dunfermline Townhill in November 1972 and scrapped at G.H Campbel l Airdrie. Oval cast aluminium in as removed condition, measures 9.75in x 7.25in.
BR(S) locomotive whistle of a SE&CR pattern of the Maunsell era. Stamped BR A (Ashford) on the Bell and base, In nicely cleaned condition stands 8.25in tall.

Allocated to Immingham, Trafford Park, Boston, Mexborough, Lincoln and 41A Sheffield Darnall from where it was withdrawn in August 1 960 and scrapped. Rectangular cast brass face restored, measures 26.25in x 5in. The 1922 built D11s were named after First World War battles or engagements.

Single Aspect hand lamp brass plated JONES & FOSTER LATE WILLIAM INIGO JONES & SON 128 & 129 HENEAGE STREET BIRMINGHAM. In good condition with no visible company markings, reservoir missing but reflector and slide present. The lamp was fo und in the Barmouth area so could originate from one of the pre grouping Welsh constituent companies. Jones & Foster operated at the above address from 1880 to 1910
Smokebox numberplate 44443 ex LMS Fowler 4F 0-6-0 built at Crewe in 1927 and numbered LMS 4443. Allocated to Watford and 11B Barrow In Furness from where it was withdrawn in August 1965 and scrapped later the same year. Face restored.
Tyers No 6 Single line cast iron and brass Tablet CAVENDISH - CLARE. From the former Great Eastern Railway Stour Valley line closed in 1967. In ex railway condition with a crack to the cast iron on the back.

BR(M) FF enamel railway station direction sign PRIMROSE HILL STATION with British Railways totem and left facing arrow, from the former North London Railway station between South Hampstead and Camden Road which closed in 1992. In good condition with some mottling and slight loss of shine, measures 28in x 13in.
Nameplate LION and Crest ex British Railways Diesel class 50 built by English Electric in 1968 as works number 3797/D1168 and numbered D427 and 50027 in 1974. Named Lion in April 1978 and nameplates removed in August 1991. Originally allocated to D05 Stoke Division and withdrawn from Laira in July 1991 and Purchased in 1992 by Mike Fuller and was based at the Mid Hants Railway and became one of the first Class 50s to work in preservation when it hauled a passenger train from Alton to Alresford on 17 May 1992. Later moved to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and now back on the Mid Hants Railway being restored to working condition. This nameplate and crest were applied at Exeter in May 1994 and ran on the locomotive until when they were removed in June 2013. The nameplate has actually been carried by the loco longer than the original Lion nameplates were carried by the loco in BR days and comes with a signed certificate from the owner. Nameplate rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 26.125in x 9.875in and crest 9in x 6.5in.
