Docklands Light Railway FF enamel railway station platform sign PUDDING MILL LANE from the station between Canary Wharf and Stratford. In excellent condition measures 57.75in x 10in. Currently the site of the ABBA Arena.

British Railways FF enamel station platform sign BIRMINGHAM NEW STREET from the former London & North Western Birmingham station. In excellent condition, measures 41in x 19in.

Three Pullman Car circular wall plaques; CAR CHLORIA, CAR NIOBE and CAR No 167. In excellent original condition measure 9in diameter. These were used to cover up the holes in their respective coaches where the brass wall clocks had been and seldom ap pear for sale. Chloria & Niobe were both used on the Post War Golden Arrow service.

A pair of brass Pullman swan neck torpedo wall lamps both stamped Pullman. Both in excellent condition. Measure 9.75in long. This pattern is illustrated on page 182 of the book Pullman profile no.1 the 12 wheeled cars by Anthony M. Ford.

London Brighton and South Coast Railway string dispenser. Made from mahogany and branded underneath LB&SCR, in lovely original condition measures 6.5in diameter x 7in tall.

Delivered new to Newport Abercarn Blackvane Steam Coal Co Ltd at Celynen North Colliery and named Trecelyn, 1936 taken over by Partridge, Jones & John Paton Limited and then pas sed into NCB ownership in 1947. Withdrawn in 1964 and scrapped by 1967. Oval cast brass, face restored, measures 10.75in x 6.5in.

Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No 25153 1944 ex Riddles WD 2-8-0 numbered WD 7425, 777425 and BR 90294. Allocated to the SR in 1944 at Bricklayers Arms then to Le Mans in France and returned back to England in 1947, then Colc hester, Immingham and 40B March from where it was withdrawn in July 1965 and scrapped at Drapers (Hull). Diamond shaped cast brass face cleaned, measures 13.5in x 5.5in.

Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COY LTD HYDE PARK WORKS GLASGOW No24815 1942 ex LMS Stanier 8F numbered LMS 8225 and BR 48225. Allocated to Kirkby In Ashfield and withdrawn from 5B Crewe South in October 1966 and scrapped at Cohens Kettering. Cir cular cast brass, face lightly cleaned, measures 7.75in diameter.

Worksplate GREAT CENTRAL RLY BUILDERS 1911 GORTON WORKS. Locomotives built that year were Robinson Class 8A / Q4 0-8-0, 04 2-8-0's and A5 4-6-2Ts. Oval cast brass lightly cleaned, measures 9.875in x 5.25in. On the rear is a label with 69805 written o n it so it may have been on this locomotive.

Worksplate LMS BUILT 1943 SR ex LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 built at Eastleigh and numbered LMS 8658 and BR 48658. Allocated to Willesden, Nuneaton, Northampton and 5B Crewe South from where it was withdrawn in August 1965 and scrapped. Oval cast brass face lightly cleaned, measures 10.5in x 6in.

Worksplate NEILSON & Co GLASGOW 1883 No 2963 ex LSWR Adams Jumbo Class 0-6-0 numbered SR 3440 and BR 30576. Allocated to the Kent & East Sussex Railway and withdrawn in December 1950 and scrapped. Oval cast brass face restored measures 10.25i n x 6in. A rare plate from a small class of 18.

Worksplate ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS LTD NEWCASTLE & DARLINGTON 7136 1944 ex Austerity 0-6-0 ST. Ordered by the Ministry of Supply and numbered WD 5186 delivered to Central Ordnance Depot, Donnington, Shropshire. She was renumbered 75186 in late 1944 and to 150 circa 1951/2 then went to the Royal Engineers, Arnott, Oxon in April 1955 and was named Royal Pioneer in June of this year then to the Central Ammunition Depot, Kineton, Warwickshire in April 1956. Sold to Hunslet in September 1963 and completely rebuilt, purchased by J E Warrington for £1,500 and moved to the Bahamas Railway Society at Dinting in August 1969 and named Warrington later purchased by Peak Rail in July 1990. Oval cast iron in as removed condition, measures 13in x 8.5in.

Worksplate AVONSIDE ENGINE CO LTD BRISTOL BUILT 1921 ENGINE No 1874 ex 0-4-0ST delivered new to Bombay Improvement Trust, then to T.W.Ward, Grays. Used by John Gill on Barking Power Station contract, 1930, returned to Ward 1931. To APCM Crown and Qua rry Works, Kent, and scrapped August 1964. Oval cast brass lightly face cleaned, measures 10.875in x 6.5in.

Worksplate BEYER PEACOCK & CO LTD MANCHESTER REBUILT 1921. From South Eastern & Chatham Railway Maunsell D 4-4-0 numbered SECR 487, SR 1487 and BR 31487 which was rebuilt to class D1. Allocated to Faversham, Tonbridge and 73B Bricklayers Arms from where it was withdrawn in February 1961 and scrapped. Oval cast brass lightly face cleaned with 1487 scratched in the back, measures 10in x 5.875in.

Worksplate HUDSWELL, CLARKE & CO LTD RAILWAY FOUNDRY LEEDS No 1164 1916 ex Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Railway 0-6-0 T originally numbered BPGVR 15 then GWR 2168. Based at 87F Llanelly for most of its working life and withdrawn in May 1956 and scrapped. Oval engraved brass face lightly cleaned with 2165(8) stamped in the back, measures 13in x 8.125in.

Worksplate LNER 9x5 LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY BUILT STRATFORD WORKS 1895 2785 ex Great Eastern Railway Holden E4 2-4-0 numbered GER 490, LNER 7490, 7802, 2785 and BR 62785. Allocated to Bury St Edmunds, Hitchin and 31A Cambridge from where i t was withdrawn in December 1959 and was the last 2-4-0 in service. Saved for the National collection and restored to Great Eastern Livery at Stratford works and is now on display at Bressingham Railway Museum. Oval cast brass, face restored, measures 9in x 5in.

Worksplate THE HUNSLET ENGINE co LTD LEEDS No 3800 1953 18 x 26. Ex Austerity 0-6-0ST. Supplied new to MOD and numbered W200 later renumbered WD 195. It saw use at Bicester and the Longmoor Military Railways until it was sold to the Kent & East S ussex Railway in 1971 where it was named William H Austen and Rolvenden and numbered 24. Subsequently sold again in 2014 to the Colne Valley Railway. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 11.5in x 8in.

Worksplate THE VULCAN FOUNDRY (LIMITED) NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS LANCASHIRE No 5306 1945 ex Austerity 0-6-0ST. Delivered new to the Longmoor Military Railway and then sold to Broomhill Collieries Ltd in July 1946 and numbered 33 and named Vulcan. Scrapped i n March 1973. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 9.625in x 5.625in.

Worksplate SUPER SENTINEL PATENT LOCO No 6710 ex 4w loco new to LNER as 8401, purchased for use by Engineers Dept. at Lowestoft Beach. It had the distinction of being wrongly renumbered twice. Allocated 7773 in the 1943 scheme, it was given that num ber in 1946, when it should have been 8131, it got that number in 1953, instead of 68131. Then to Engineers Dept 39 in 1956, the works numberplate read 7773 Worked at Lowestoft , Norwich, then Cambridge, Chesterton P Way Depot and was withdrawn in April 1963. Cast brass in as removed condition, measures 9.975in x 5.25in. Together with its LNER 9x5 works numberplate LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY 7773 REBUILT STRATFORD WORKS. Oval cast brass lightly face cleaned, measures 9in x 5in. Rare to get a matched pair.

Worksplate LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY Co DONCASTER No 1583 1924 ex Gresley J50 0-6-0 T numbered LNER 3231, 8930 and BR 68930. Allocated to Ardsley and 34B Hornsey from where it was withdrawn in February 1961 and scrapped at Doncaster Works. Oval en graved brass, face lightly restored, rear stamped 3231. Measures 13.5in x 7.5in.

Gooische steam tram ownership plate GOOISCHE STOOMTRAM from a steam locomotive that operated on this tram system in Holland between Amsterdam, Hilversum, Laren and Naarden. Rectangular steel with brass letters, lightly face restored, measures 20inn x 8in.

Worksplate BUILT 1956 CREWE. Ex Riddles Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 in the number range 92070-92086 and 92097-92118. Oval cast iron face lightly cleaned, measures 10.25in x 5.875in.

Worksplate LMS BUILT 1920 DERBY. Ex Fowler 481 Class 4-4-0 built to order number 4476 with 3250 Gallon Tenders. Locos built were LMS numbers 447, 452, 453, 454 and 456. These were not new builds but renewal of the Johnson 4-4-0 locomotives. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 10.5in x 6in. Not common.

Worksplate LMS BUILT 1939 DERBY from a Johnson 4F 0-6-0 in the number range 44577-96 or a diesel 0-6-0 with Jackshaft drive in the number range 7080-9. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 10.5in x 6in.

Worksplate LMS REBUILT 1920 DERBY. Quite a few ex Midland Railway locomotives were rebuilt at Derby in 1920. They were examples of Classes 2606 and 2781 4-4-0's; Classes 1262 and 2282 0-4-4T's; Class 1102 0-6-0T's and Classes 1142 and 1873 0-6-0's. O val cast brass face restored with a small crack to the left hand bolthole, measures 10.5in x 6in.

Worksplate YORKSHIRE ENGINE CO LIMITED MEADOW HALL WORKS SHEFFIELD No 2440 1948 ex 0-6-0 ST delivered new to Samuel Fox & Co Ltd Stocksbridge Iron Works and numbered 4. Oval cast brass in original condition, measures 11in x 6in.

Worksplate LMS BUILT CREWE 1946 ex Ivatt class 2 2-6-2T 41200. Allocated to Crewe, Bangor, Ipswich and 6G Llandudno Junction from where it was withdrawn in July 1965 and scrapped at Cohens Morriston. Oval cast iron face restored measures 10.5in x 6i n.

Worksplate LMS BUILT 1914 HORWICH. Locos built by the LYR at Horwich in 1914 were Hughes 1546 class 3 0-8-0 tender locos, with LYR numbers 1583, 1584, 1585 & 6, 7, 134, 141,142, 150, 229, 259, 281, 460 becoming LMS 12877-12889, only one of this l ot carried a BR number that being 229 later 12886 finally BR 52886 until withdrawn in 1949. So it could possibly be off this locomotive as it was the only one that made it into BR service. LYR 1583 LMS 12887 was allocated a BR number but never carried it as withdrawn in 1948. Oval Cast brass in cleaned condition, measures 10.5in x 6in. A rare plate.

Worksplate BEYER PEACOCK & CO LD 1901 MANCHESTER ex Dutch State Railway Nederlandse Spoorwegen 4-4-0 numbered 4267-96. Oval cast brass in cleaned condition, measures 10in x 6in. The assumption that this plate is from one of these locomotives is m ade as the plate was sent to us from Holland along with the WD elsewhere in this auction.

Worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No 25144 1944 ex Riddles WD 2-8-0 numbered WD 7273, 77273. This locomotive remained in Europe and was used by the Dutch State Railway Nederlandse Spoorwegen and numbered 4349. Withdrawn and scra pped in September 1953. Diamond shaped cast brass face lightly restored, measures 13.75in x 5.5in.
