GWR Carriage Panel from QUEEN VICTORIA'S DIAMOND JUBILEE ROYAL TRAIN, built at Swindon in 1897. It contains its original colour-tinted photograph on glass, produced by the Photocrom Company, of ILFRACOMBE [DEVON]. Thought to have been the only roya l train to be embellished with scenic views, this magnificent panel has its original glazed frame ornately crafted in sycamore and walnut hardwoods and gilded hardwood insets and surrounds. The hand-painted title recessed into a gilded frame. Originally from coach 233 which now resides in Swindon STEAM museum. In excellent condition measures 16in x 11in. A superb and choice item.
