Smokebox numberplate 80056 ex British Railways Riddles STD Class 4 2-6-4 T built at Derby in 1954. Allocated to Polmadie and 65A Eastfield from where it was withdrawn in July 1964, then briefly reinstated at 10D Lostock Hall until October 1964 and sc rapped at Crewe works. In original condition, with traces of light Blue Scottish region paint under the black.
BR(W) brass cabside numberplate 9486 ex Hawksworth 0-6-0 PT built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn Ltd in 1952. Allocated to Llanelli and 85A Worcester from where it was withdrawn in July 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's (Great Bridge). In nicely r estored condition.
Tyers No6 brass single line tablet TORRINGTON JCT - PETROCKSTOW. From the former London & South Western Railway section on the North Cornwall line closed in 1966. Stamped Not in Use on the back, measures 4.5in diameter.

Ex British Railways Class 40 diesel originally numbered D350 becoming 40150 Feb 1974. Allocated new to 50A York Jun 1961 and withdrawn from Carlisle Kingmoor Jan 1985. Moved to Crewe Works and stored until scrapped there Mar 1987. Rectangular chromed brass face restored with 40105 ! stamped in the back, measures 10.125in x 4.5in.
Totem BR(SC) HF MOTHERWELL from the former Caledonian Railway station between Law Junction and Glasgow. In good condition with some slight loss of shine and mottling.
Flamecut cabside panel 33034 ex British Railways Diesel locomotive built by built by BRCW in 1961 as works number DEL 144 and originally numbered D6552. Allocated new to 73C Hither Green and withdrawn from Eastleigh in 1988. Sold into preservation an d eventually moved to the Swanage railway in 2001 and in 2007 a decision was taken to strip the loco of re-usable components and scrap the body shell. In good condition and all angle removed. Measures 30in x 12.5in.

Midland & Great Northern Railway enamel railway station direction sign M&GN STATION ATTLEBRIDGE with feathered arrow. Double sided measuring 24.75in x 9.5in. Both sides are in very good condition with minor edge chipping. Attlebridge was betw een Norwich City and Melton Constable and closed in 1959.
Great Western Railway enamel lamp tablet COOKHAM from the station between Maidenhead and High Wycombe. In good condition with some loss of shine complete with top mounting flange, measures 20in x 6in.

Smokebox numberplate 33028 ex SR Bullied Q1 0-6-0 built at Ashford in 1942 and numbered C28. Allocated to Tonbridge, Gillingham, Feltham and 75E Three Bridges from where it was withdrawn in February 1963 and scrapped. In restored condition with an A and BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast in the back.

Tenderplate GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY SWINDON WORKS 1951 SEPT 1914 3500 GALLONS from a standard Churchward tender that were used on amongst other locomotives Castles, Halls, Granges and Manors. Face cleaned Oval engraved brass with a crack to the left hand bolt hole, measures 11.25in x 8.25in.
Nameplate SHORWELL ex L&SWR Adams O2 0-4-4T built at Eastleigh in 1892 and numbered 219. Transferred to the Isle Of Wight in April 1926 and numbered W30 and named Shorwell. Allocated to Newport and 70H Ryde from where it was withdrawn in Septembe r 1965 and scrapped at Newport. Rectangular cast brass in nicely restored condition, measures in long. Shorwell is a small village on the island near to the famous Jurassic coast between Blackgang Chine and Freshwater Bay and was a favourite place to visit for Queen Victoria.
Southern Railway locomotive bunker plate W30 ex L&SWR Adams O2 0-4-4T named Shorwell. Lightly face cleaned condition the rear of the plate has its Clapham Museum accession reference number 760/65 painted on, measures 13.75in x 7.75in. Unlike the mainland Southern locomotives which carried these plates on both cabsides, the Isle of Wight locomotives only carried one on the Bunker. See previous lot.

Rectangular chromed brass face restored, measures 10.125in x 4.5in.

Great Western Railway cast iron UMBRELLA STAND cast with GWR initials at the bottom and complete with drip tray. In excellent condition. Measures 25in tall x 24.5in wide x 6.5in deep.
LNER platform lamp YARMOUTH SOUTH TOWN from the Great Eastern Railway terminus station. Cast aluminium frame with perspex panels, measures 24in x 10in x 10in. In excellent restored condition with one minor chip to a panel. It has been professionally wired and fitted with a LED light panel, sold without a plug as it hasn't been PAT tested.

Nameplate SIR FRANCIS DENT ex LNWR Cooke Claughton 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1916 and numbered LNWR 2221 and LMS 5927. Withdrawn in December 1936 and scrapped at Crewe Works. Rectangular engraved brass in as removed condition, nameplate measures 66in l ong and mounted on a board for display.
Cabside numberplate E3031 ex British Railways Class 83 Electric built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry as works number E2935/E271 in November 1960, renumbered to 83008 in 1972. Originally allocated to ACL WCML Electric Traction and withdrawn from L G Longsight Electric in August 1983. Scrapped the following year at V. Berry Leicester. Steel backplate with stainless steel letters, measures 32in x 7.5in. In nice original condition.

Smokebox numberplate 4938 ex GWR Collett Hall 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1929 and named LIDDINGTON HALL. Allocated to Old Oak common, Oxford, Stafford Road and 87F Llanelli from where it was withdrawn in November 1962 and scrapped. Face restored.
Nameplate THE RED ARROWS 50 SEASONS OF EXCELLENCE ex British Railways Class 43 HST 43 43155. Allocated new to Neville Hill Jan 1981. Previously named BBC Look North (6/85-4/97), The Red Arrows (5/97-6/98), City of Aberdeen (6/98-2/04). Named 21/08/20 14 at Exeter St. Davids station and removed in 2019. Later named Rougemont Castle at Laira Jan 2022. Withdrawn Dec 2023 and currently stored at Laira. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 56in x 13.25in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.

Rectangular chromed brass, face lightly cleaned measures 10.25in x 4.5in.

Allocated to Mexborough and 36E Retford Thrumpton from where it was withdrawn in May 1964 and scrapped at Rigleys (Bulwell Forest). In restored condition.

Tyers No6 brass and steel single line tablet APPLEDORE - LYDD TOWN from the former South Eastern Railway line which closed to passengers in 1967. Machine engraved in very good condition.
LMS signalbox board WEST KIRBY from the former Birkenhead Joint box on the branch from Hooton. Wood with cast iron letters, in very good restored condition complete with original metal mounting brackets, measures 57.5in x 15in.
Cambrian Railway hand engraved brass signalbox instrument plate BOW STREET. In very good condition, measures 3in x 1in.
GNER cast brass crest as fitted to some of their coaching stock including the HST carriages. In as removed condition measures 22in x 19.5in. Complete with original GNER receipt letter confirming purchase and delivery by DHL in December 2007.

Ex Collett 2-6-2 Tank built Swindon in 1946 and allocated to Cheltenham Malvern Road and 85B Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in March 1963 and sent to Woodhams Barry. Saved for preservation i n 1970 and currently under overhaul on the Epping and Ongar Railway. Face restored. Comes complete with various photographs and a Great Western Society sheet.

Ex British Railways Class 04 diesel shunter originally 11110 becoming D2209 Se p 1958. Allocated new to 30F Parkeston Quay Mar 1953 and withdrawn from 8J Allerton Jul 1968. Sold to NCB and moved to Manvers Main Coal Preparation Plant, Wath Nov 1968 where it was named Ernest and later Tracey and became No. 16. Moved to NCB Kiveton Park Jul 1974 and out of use by Sep 1981 and scrapped on site. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 8in x 5in.

Smokebox numberplate 42755 ex LMS Hughes Crab 2-6-0 built at Crewe in 1927 and numbered LMS 13055 and 2755. Allocated to Agecroft, Dalry Road and 9G Gorton from where it was withdrawn in October 1964 and scrapped. Partially face restored. A rare earl y style Horwich casting.
London Chatham & Dover Railway small 3 aspect handlamp with a single pie crust top, wire looped top handle and two back loop handles and stamped in the side LC&DR 1230 No 27. Complete with a later brass reservoir plated J Horne and a SR burne r, no internal glasses present. In original condition painted Red which suggests maybe use at Ashford Works Fire Department. A rare pattern previously not seen before.
London Transport enamel direction sign PERIVALE STN with Underground Circle and feathered arrow beneath. Double sided, one side in very good condition the other with some well executed restoration. Measures 24.5in x 9.5in.
Great Western Railway brass cabside numberplate 2538 ex Dean Goods 0-6-0 built at Swindon works in 1897. Allocated to Cardiff Canton, Croes Newydd, Brecon, Hereford and 89A Oswestry where it became the last of this class to be withdrawn in May 1957 a nd was scrapped at Swindon Works. In nicely restored condition with boiler and class details stamped in the rim.
