Thames Tunnel opening day commemorative medal. THAMES TUNNEL 1200ft COMMENCED 1824 SUSPENDED TILL 1833 OPENED 1843. The front also has the bust of Sir Isambart Marc Brunel father of Isambard Kingdom Brunel who also assisted on the tunnel. Measures 1 .5in diameter, in excellent condition.
North British Railway Company free pass with full title coat of arms and date 1862 to the front, and issued to George Robertson Esq and NBRC to rear. Measures 7/8in diameter and is in fair condition considering its age.

In good original condition with BR(NE) tangerine visible underneath th e black and white, not much survives with the some of these station names on. Measures 30.5in x 24in.

Worksplate GREAT CENTRAL RY BUILDERS 1912 GORTON WORKS MANCHESTER. Ex Robinson Class A5 4-6-2T numbered GCR 450, LNER 5450, 9810 and BR 69810. Allocated to Annesley, Neasden, Boston, Darlington and 38A Colwick from where it was withdrawn in October 1 958 and scrapped at Darlington works. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 9.875in x 5.25in.
Worksplate GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY Co MAKERS DONCASTER E 1090 1896 ex Ivatt J4 0-6-0 built as works number 711 and numbered GNR 1090, LNER 4090, 4112 and BR 64112. Allocated to New England from where it was withdrawn in December 1951 and scrapped. Ova l cast brass, face restored measures 10.75in x 6.5in. This is one of only a few plates where the works number had been erased and replaced with the GNR locomotive number.

Allocated to Darlington, Stockton, Thornaby, West Hartlepool and 50A Yorks North from where it was withdrawn in Ap ril 1967 and cut up at Drapers Hull. Diamond shaped brass face lightly restored , measures 13.75in x 5.5in.
Worksplate DUBS & CO GLASGOW LOCOMOTIVE WORKS No 3537 1897 ex LSWR Drummond 700 Class 0-6-0 numbered LSWR 714, SR 355 and BR 30355. Allocated to Salisbury, Basingstoke, Guildford and 70B Feltham from where it was withdrawn in February 1961 and sc rapped at Eastleigh Works. Diamond shaped cast brass lightly face cleaned, measures 13.5in x 5.5in.
Worksplate NEILSON REID & CO HYDE PARK LOCOMOTIVE WORKS GLASGOW 1900 No 5698. Ex South Eastern & Chatham Railway Wainwright C class 0-6-0 numbered SECR 692, SR 1692 and BR 31692. Withdrawn from Hither Green April 1960 and scrapped at Ashford Works May 1960. Oval cast brass face lightly polished, measures 9in x 6.5in. The brass bolts are not original but made up to original size head.
Worksplates a pair R & W HAWTHORN LESLIE & CO LTD ENGINEERS NEWCASTLE ON TYNE ENGLAND 2207 1891. Ex metre gauge 4-4-0, Leopoldina Railway and was numbered 163. One of a dozen or so built. Oval cast brass in cleaned condition with some loss to the edges, measure 12.75in x 7.25in. (2 items)

Worksplate BUILT BY LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY 1945 DARLINGTON WORKS No 1972. Ex LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 numbered LNER 3130, 3530, LMS 8735 and BR 48735. Allocated to Farnley Junction, Newton Heath, Swansea Paxton Street, Llanelli, Lostock Hall and 8E Northwich from where it was withdrawn in October 1967 and scrapped. Oval engraved brass lightly face cleaned measures 13.5in x 8in. Note this is one of the later pattern plates that never had And on Loan To engraved at the top.
Worksplate LMS BUILT 1944 HORWICH ex Stanier 8F 2-8-0 in the number range LMS 8338 to 8381 BR 48338 to 48381. Oval cast iron face partially restored, measures 10.25in x 6in.
Worksplate LNER BUILT 1944 SR ex Stanier 8F 2-8-0 in the number range LNER 3500 to 3524, LMS 8705 to 8729 and BR 48705 to 48729. This batch of 25 locomotives were all built at Brighton Works. Oval cast brass face cleaned, measures 10.5in x 6in.
Worksplate KITSON & CO LEEDS 1894 ex Cardiff Railway 0-6-2 T designed by Ree, Cardiff Railway No 1, GWR No 156. Withdrawn in February 1931 and scrapped. Oval cast brass, face cleaned and rear chalked 156. This is the rare small pattern Kitson mea suring 6.25in x 3.75in.
Worksplate SIR W. G. ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH & CO (ENGINEERS) LTD SCOTSWOOD WORKS NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE No 1259 1935 ex Stanier 4-6-0 Class 5 numbered LMS 5218 and later BR 45218. Allocated to Bank Hall, Huddersfield, Farnley Junction, Wakefield, Rose Gr ove, Fleetwood and 12A Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in April 1966 and scrapped at J. McWilliams, Shettleston. Rectangular cast brass face restored, measures 8.25in x 5in.

Worksplate LMS REBUILT 1925 DERBY probably from a Midland Railway 3F 0-6-0Ts (predecessor to the LMS Jinties) which did carry dated Derby Rebuild plates where as the MR/LMS 2F 0-6-0 rebuilt this year are known to have carried plain undated rebuilt pl ates. Oval cast brass face restored, measures 10.325in x 6in.
