Delivered new to 16A Toton and withdrawn from Cricklewood in Novembe r 1980, scrapped at BREL Swindon in Apr 1982. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition with 25112 on the back. Measures 13in x 6.5in.
Smokebox numberplate 73005 ex British Railways Riddles Standard Class 5 4-6-0 built at Derby in 1951. Allocated to Perth and 67A Corkerhill from where it was withdrawn in June 1966 and scrapped at Motherwell Machinery and Scrap (Wishaw). In original condition, a Scottish loco for all of its working life.
Midland Railway locomotive Whistle complete with operating valve and pointed finial. Stands 17.25in tall with bell diameter 3.5in. Stamped with the following locomotive numbers 3565, 3664, 993 on the main valve.

Nameplate ABERGAVENNY CASTLE ex GWR Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1932 as order number 280 and numbered 5013. Allocated to Newton Abbot, Laira, Exeter, Penzance, Landore, Carmarthen, Neath Court Sart and 87F Llanelli from where it wa s withdrawn in July 1962 and scrapped. In lightly cleaned original condition with R IN 5013 Lot 280 stamped in the back indicating this is the right hand side plate.

The trains were owned jointly by the London & North Western Railway and the London Electric Railway. In original condition measures 4.25in diameter.

Joseph Banks was a botanist who accompanied Cook on his voyage of discovery 1768-71. Nameplat es were removed Aug 1996. Loco has been stored at Toton since Feb 2009 and was offered for sale by DB Cargo in Aug 2016 but not sold and offered again in Apr 2024. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measure 39.25inx 9.75in.
Nameplate KNIGHT OF ST. PATRICK ex Great Western Railway Churchward Star Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1908 and numbered 4013. Initially allocated to Old Oak Common and later Chester West from where it was withdrawn in May 1950 and scrapped at Swin don Works. Nicely restored.

Nameplate TOTNES CASTLE ex Class 57 57605. Originally built as Class 47 D1856 at Brush Works in 1965 and later becoming 47206 in May 1974. Converted to Class 57 at Brush Traction, Loughborough in Feb 2004 and entered service with First Great Western on the Night Riviera sleeper services in Sep 2004. Named at Totnes station on 21/9/04 by the Lord Lieutenant of Devonshire. This original nameplate was replaced by new ones in the same style as Class 43 Castle HSTs. Still in service with GWR. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 51.5in x 10in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.

London Underground miniature type enamel target/bullseye sign ALDGATE EAST measuring 15in x 10.5in. In very good condition with some chipping on the left hand end of the name and complete with original 2 piece bronze frame. These desirable small sign s were introduced in 1939 and were used on the deep level stations constructed in the 1935-40 programme and were mounted on facing walls , pillars and tunnel mouths.
