Allocated to Perth and 67A Corkerhill from where it was withdrawn in June 1966 and scrapped at Motherwell Machinery and Scrap (Wishaw). In original condition, a Scottish loco for all of its working life.

Midland Railway locomotive Whistle complete with operating valve and pointed finial. Stands 17.25in tall with bell diameter 3.5in. Stamped with the following locomotive numbers 3565, 3664, 993 on the main valve.

Named at Worcester Shrub Hill station on 10 Mar 2010. Previously named County of Humberside (4/84-4/94) and Leeds United (4/94-3/09). To Sims Metals, Newport Jan 2022 and scrapped there Mar 2023. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition nameplate measures 65.25in x 9.875in crest measures 11in x 11in and plaque 9.75in x 5.5in. Nameplate ABERGAVENNY CASTLE ex GWR Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1932 as order number 280 and numbered 5013. Allocated to Newton Abbot, Laira, Exeter, Penzance, Landore, Carmarthen, Neath Court Sart and 87F Llanelli from where it wa s withdrawn in July 1962 and scrapped. In lightly cleaned original condition with R IN 5013 Lot 280 stamped in the back indicating this is the right hand side plate.

Southern Railway enamel target station sign RYDE ST JOHNS from the former Isle of Wight Railway and Isle Of Wight Central Railway station between Ryde Pier Head and Brading. In very good condition with minor edge restoration, measures 36in long.

Cambrian Railway platform lamp Interior. Brass plated on the side CAM RY in nicely restored condition complete with burner and glass chimney, stands 16in tall.

Highland Railway glass lamp tablet BALLINLUIG from the former station between Dunkeld and Blair Atoll. Etched glass in very good condition, measures 12.25in x 4in.

Barry Railway locomotive gauge glass lamp stamped B.R.Co and 89 on the front and rear. Complete with original reservoir stamped B.R.Co and burner. Barry Railway locomotive 89 was a 2-4-2 T built in 1898 and later renumbered GWR 1314. A rare survivor.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 5055 ex Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1936 and named LYDFORD CASTLE renamed EARL OF ELDON in 1937. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Oxford, Newton Abbot, Carmarthen, Fishguard Goodwick, Hereford and 85B Glou cester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and scrapped at Cashmore's Newport. Face restored, rear original.

Joseph Banks was a botanist who accompanied Cook on his voyage of discovery 1768-71. Nameplat es were removed Aug 1996. Loco has been stored at Toton since Feb 2009 and was offered for sale by DB Cargo in Aug 2016 but not sold and offered again in Apr 2024. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measure 39.25inx 9.75in.

Oval cast aluminium, lightly face restored over original paint and with neat repairs to both ends, measures 9.5in x 5.75in.

Tyers No 6 Single line cast iron and brass tablet ROMALDKIRK - MIDDLETON IN TEESDALE. From the former North Eastern Railway branch line from Barnard Castle closed in 1964. In ex railway condition measures 4.5in diameter.

British Railways Electric cabside numbers E3084 ex Class 85. Built at Doncaster in 1964 and allocated to ACL and withdrawn from Crewe Electric May 1988 and scrapped at Crewe works. The letter and numbers are lightly face cleaned and mounted on a wood en back board for display. Measures 29in x 9in.

Miniature single line staff BERKELEY RD STATION-SHARPNESS SOUTH from the Severn & Wye Joint Railway section just south of the famous Sharpness Swing bridge. Steel and brass measuring 9.5in long. In ex railway condition.

LT enamel Target with original bronze frame KING'S CROSS ST PANCRAS. In excellent condition mounted on a plywood backboard, measures 20in x 24in so is the smaller desirable size.

South Eastern & Chatham square fronted 4 aspect Handlamp with brass wire loop top handle. Brass plated SE&CR G.50 and A on the reducing cone and brass plated on the side STATION MASTER. Complete with SAR reservoir, BR/SR stamped burner and al l colour glasses. In nicely restored condition.

A pair of Great Western Railway tins. G.W.R METAL POLISH printed on the side stands 3.5in tall and DAY & MARTIN METAL POLISH PASTE embossed GWR on the base measures 3.5in diameter. Both in good condition and remarkable survivors and not seen by u s before. (2 items)

Rectangular chromed brass face lightly restored with small repairs to both bottom corners, measures 10in x 4.325in.

Glasgow & South Western Railway signal box board IRVINE from Irvine No1 Box which closed in 1986 and was on the line between Glasgow and Ayr. In good original condition, wood with metal letters, measures 46.5in x 10.5in.

GWR hand engraved brass shelf plate TO DANZEY. In very good condition measures 4.75in x 1.5in. From one of the boxes between Henley In Arden and Earlswood.

Worksplate ANDREW BARCLAY SONS & CO LTD KILMARNOCK CALEDONIA WORKS LWDMU 715 1986. Ex British Railways 4-wheeled DH 230Hp Pacer Class 143, 2-car sets numbered 143601 to 143625. The initials stand for Light Weight Diesel Multiple Unit. Bodies were built by Walter Alexander of Falkirk and the Underframes by AB. Cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 9.75in x 7.25in.

Worksplate BRUSH TRACTION ENGLAND No 319 1961 Ex British Railways Class 31 diesel originally numbered D5818 becoming 31286 in May 1974. Allocated new to 41A Darnall Oct 1961 and withdrawn Dec 1991 and cut up. Oval cast aluminium face restored. Measur es 9.625in x 5.75in.

Smokebox numberplate 44195 ex LMS Fowler 4F 0-6-0 built at Crewe in 1925 and numbered LMS 4195. Allocated to Derby, Cricklewood East, Nottingham, Trafford Park, Gorton and 8B Warrington Dallam from where it was withdrawn in March 1965 and scrapped. F ace restored.

Nameplate TOTNES CASTLE ex Class 57 57605. Originally built as Class 47 D1856 at Brush Works in 1965 and later becoming 47206 in May 1974. Converted to Class 57 at Brush Traction, Loughborough in Feb 2004 and entered service with First Great Western on the Night Riviera sleeper services in Sep 2004. Named at Totnes station on 21/9/04 by the Lord Lieutenant of Devonshire. This original nameplate was replaced by new ones in the same style as Class 43 Castle HSTs. Still in service with GWR. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 51.5in x 10in. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.

Tyers No 6 aluminium single line tablet DINGWALL SOUTH - MUIR OF ORD from the former Highland Railway section. Measures 4.5in diameter and is in ex railway condition. Note this one has not had South ground off after Dingwall as most have.

London Underground miniature type enamel target/bullseye sign ALDGATE EAST measuring 15in x 10.5in. In very good condition with some chipping on the left hand end of the name and complete with original 2 piece bronze frame. These desirable small sign s were introduced in 1939 and were used on the deep level stations constructed in the 1935-40 programme and were mounted on facing walls , pillars and tunnel mouths.
