Nameplate KING EDWARD VIII ex Great Western Railway Collet King Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1930 as order number 267 and numbered 6029. Allocated to Plymouth Laira and 81A Old Oak Common from where it was withdrawn in July 1962 and scrapped at Ca shmore's Newport. In very good condition with some restoration to the black. The rear of the plate is R indicating this is the right hand plate.

Worksplate BUILT 1949 DERBY ex British Railways Diesel Class 11 0-6-0 in the number range 12050-12066. Oval cast iron face cleaned, measures 10.375in x 6in.
Smokebox numberplate 42232, ex LMS Fairburn 2-6-4 T built at Derby in 1946 and numbered LMS 2232. Allocated to Southport, Stoke, St Albans, Kentish Town, Plaistow, Kirkby In Ashfield and 12E Tebay where it was used as a banker, withdrawn from there i n January 1966 ands scrapped. Lightly face restored.
A three Lever Frame, nicely restored with The Railway Signalling Company cast into the sides. Buyer needs to arrange collection from Southampton. The frame has been disassembled and packed for easy transportation.

Oval cast iron face restored, measures 8.5in x 6in.

Cast aluminium cabside numerals D7098. Ex British Railways Class 35 Hymek diesel hydraulic built as works number 7982 in 1963. Allocated new to 83A Newton Abott Jan 1964 and withdrawn from 86A Cardiff Canton Dec 1972 where these numerals were taken o ff by a fitter. Scrapped at Swindon Works in Mch 1975. Mounted on a board for display.
Locomotive headboard TOTESPORT as used on the class 67 loco hauled Cheltenham Gold Cup Specials. Cast aluminium with rear bracket, in original condition. With Return To EWS Old OAK common on the back 67 version measures 23in x 8.5in.

Nameplate WESTERN THUNDERER together with its cabside numberplate D1011 ex British Railways Class 52 Diesel Hydraulic built at Swindon in 1962. Allocated to 88A Cardiff Canton and withdrawn from Laira in October 1975. Cut up at BREL Swindon in Jan 19 79. In face restored condition, the nameplate measures 104in x 8in and cabside 34.75in x 10in. The first time this set has appeared at auction.

Allocated to Immingham, Lincoln, Sheffield Darnall and 41H Stavely GC from where it wa s withdrawn in May 1960 and scrapped. Face restored rectangular cast brass complete with part of its original ends which are sometimes cut off, measures 57in x 5in.

Totem BR(NE) FF Box Flange WHITBY TOWN, with black edged letters, from the former North Eastern Railway Terminus station on the line from Middlesborough. In ex station condition but you can see its nearly mint underneath the grime. Comes complete wit h original British Railways receipt dates 13th April 1977.

Delivered new to the Admiralty in Leeds and then to Llangennech Royal Nav al Armaments Depot and numbered YARD No.124 and named Peeping Tom. Then to Bry Palling Scrap merchants, Llantrisant in June 1972 and scrapped in May 1974. Oval chromed brass in as removed condition, measures 11.875in x 7.5in.
Great Western Railway Pre Grouping 3 Aspect Handlamp stamped on the side GWR. Complete with original rape oil reservoir stamped GWR and all glasses although the blue has a small crack. In nice original condition, a rare lamp dating from the Broad Gau ge era.

Nameplate HOWE ex British Railways Diesel Class 50. Built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry as works number 3793/D1164 in June 1968 and numbered D423 renumbered 50023 in December 1973. Named in May 1978 after the Royal Navy 1942 built battleship and nameplates removed in October 1990 when it was withdrawn from Laira, scrapped at Barrow Hill by HNRC in March 2004. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition complete with the Swindon casting mark V11553 on the back. Measures 26in x 10in.
Nameplate CORFE CASTLE ex Great Western Railway Collett Castle 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1935 as order number 296 and numbered 5034. Allocations included Newton Abbot, Penzance, Reading and 81A Old Oak Common from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 and scrapped at Cashmore's Great Bridge. In lightly cleaned original condition and stamped in the back LOT 296 5034 R IN indicating this is the right hand plate. Named after the 11th Century fortification overlooking the Swanage Railway in Dorset.
