Single line wooden Train Staff, brass plated CRAIG JUNCTION TO END OF BRANCH. Craig Junction, sometimes called Craig Colliery, was on the Glasgow & South Western Railway, between Drybridge and Gatehead, near Kilmarnock, and this staff was rescued b y the late John McRobert who was the signalman at Gatehead. When found this staff was being used to break up coal for the box stove, in the locking room of Drybridge cabin, so it's a very lucky and rare survivor! Craig Junction opened in 1904 and closed in October 1932. Measures 17 inches in length.

Worksplate The English Electric Company Ltd London No 3104/D654 1961 The Vulcan Foundry Ltd Locomotive Works, England. Ex Class 40 number D358 later 40158. Entered service September 1961 and allocated to Haymarket. Withdrawn December 1983 from Carlis le and cut up at Doncaster in September 1984. Rectangular chromed brass, the lettering polished a long time ago but most of the chrome exists.

BR(W) enamel Station Sign FIRST TURN LEFT TO BUS ROUTE AND TOWN CENTRE, fully flanged 48 ins x 12 ins. Ex Cheltenham Spa St James. Good condition, and certainly rare.

Liverpool & Great Western Steam Ship Company epns Jug and a large Sugar Bowl, both manufactured by Elkington Plate. Two extremely attractive items bearing the company name. Note: Stephen Guion, part-owner of the New York-Liverpool Old Black Star Line of sailing packets and manager of Cunard's emigrant business (1862-1866), set up his own steamship line, Liverpool and Great Western Steamship Co. or Guion Line, in 1866. Guion's death in 1885, poor traffic and the high cost of its big fast ships led to its winding up in 1894.

Worksplate 'Nasmyth Wilson & Co Limited No 831 - 1907 Patricroft Manchester' triangular brass. Ex County Donegal Railway Joint Committee 2-6-4T class 5 Locomotive No 19 LETTERKENNY later FINN. Withdrawn in 1940 this loco was one of two scrapped out o f only 5 built, three being preserved. A rare survivor from a wartime scrapping.

GNR double pie-crust bullseye lens Handlamp brass plated STICKNEY No 5 . Tastefully restored.

Totem BR(M) CODNOR PARK & IRONVILLE fully flanged. Ex Midland Railway station on the Erewash Valley Line opened in 1847. Good colour and shine, overall very good.

BR(S) dark green enamel Platform Sign LADIES ROOM, fully flanged 24 inches x 18 inches in excellent condition.

Cabside Numberplate 1629. Ex BR 0-6-0PT built Swindon in September 1950 and allocated to Cardiff Cathays. Moved to Worcester in 1953 and worked alongside 1639 and 1661 especially on the Vinegar Works Branch. Withdrawn in June 1960. Totally ex loco co ndition

Worksplate Associated Electrical Industries 1960. British Railways Standard Gauge Class 15 Bo-Bo Diesel Electric locomotive in the number series D8237 to D8243. This batch was withdrawn between 1968 and 1971 but two survived as carriage heating units until 1985 (D8237 as ADB968002) and 1991 (D8243 as ADB968001). The class were troubled by several reliability problems notably with the engines which were found to require excessive maintenance. Nevertheless they had some success and were considered better than some of the other contemporary Type 1s but they eventually became redundant to requirements with a decline in freight duties in the London area. Alloy 17in x 5in stamped 'A 142' in rear. Ex loco with original green paint on face.

Metropolitan Railway enamel Destination Plate CHORLEY WOOD - RICKMANSWORTH. Measures 33in x 4in and has the makers name 'Wildman & Megayer Ltd., Birmingham' on the bottom. Black on white with original steel ends.

Totem BR(W) BADMINTON, half flanged. Ex GWR station on the Paddington - South Wales route, opened in July 1903, closed under Beeching in June 1968 which was the year that Jane Bullen famously won the Badminton Horse Trials on Our Nobby. Good colour and shine, overall excellent with just a minor chip on the letter 'A' and on the bottom flange.

Depicts the grounds and gardens of Lilleshall Hall. Area of loss bottom left margin and r ight margin has been folded over to a depth of one inch.

Smokebox Numberplate 60095. Ex Gresley 4-6-2 A3 Class FLAMINGO. Built Doncaster in 1929 under works number 1707 and carried the original LNER number 2749. Renumbered 558 in 1946 and then 95 a few months later. Allocated new to Carlisle Canal becoming one of the famous life-long residents at that depot. Withdrawn April 1961. The original BR(E) receipt accompanies. Note: Flamingo was the racehorse that won the 1928 2000 Guineas.

GWR Silverplate ice bucket 7.5inch diameter 7.5in tall, the GWR roundel is in good condition as is the Hotels beneath it, base marked Mappin & Webb Ltd C17 38 GS. A nice example.

Totem BR(S) DEAL fully flanged, dark green. Ex terminus of a South Eastern Railway branch line from Minster Junction through Sandwich opened on 1 July 1847. In 1881, it lost terminus stated when the line carried through to Dover. Excellent condition, virtually mint.

Best we've seen with just a couple of bolt hole chips. These invariably hav e the bottom line relating to Southern Railway missing or damaged.

Bus Sign 'Bristol Bus Request Stop - City Service - Please Give A Clear Signal As Bus Approaches', Measures 13.5in x 16in in composite construction, double sided yellow and black. Some marks from use.

Bus Sign 'Bristol Omnibus Services Parcel Agent' double sided with wall mounting flange, 13.5in x 16in. Dark blue on pale yellow ground enamel, in extremely good condition.

Associated Motorways Day & Night Express Services enamel Sign. Depicts a map of mainline UK in yellow and black with an early 1950's coach behind showing 'Express London to Swansea headcode. At the bottom there is the address of Head Office at the Co ach Station Cheltenham Tel 3067. Measures 30.5in x 20in and is in extremely good condition with only minor chips around a few bolt holes.

Worksplate Brass Oval LMS Built Derby. The vendor's personal records show this to be ex Stanier 3P loco 40162 which was a Bourneville loco. Restored.

Single Line alloy Key Token GLANDYFI - YNYSLAS. Ex Cambrian Railways section between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth.

Totem BR(W) BARRY DOCK fully flanged. Ex Barry Railway, later GWR station between Barry and Cadoxton. Good colour and shine, just a couple of chips centre top and bottom

Nameplate ANDREW K. McCOSH. Ex Gresley A4 Pacific built Doncaster in August 1937 under Works No 1859 and numbered 4494. Originally named OSPREY, it was renamed in October 1942 after the Director and Chairman of the Locomotive Committee of the Board. In 1946 it was renumbered by the LNER to 596 and very quickly to No 3. Finally, in March 1949 it became BR number 60003. It was a long time Kings Cross and Grantham loco, switching between the two regularly. Withdrawn in December 1962. The plate is in two parts, one being 39.625in x 7.5in the other 47.375in x 7.5in, making the overall measurement is 87in long.
