Poster World War II Beware the Squander Bug. The Squander Bug was a World War II propaganda character created by the British National Savings Committee to discourage wasteful spending. Originally designed by freelance illustrator Phillip Boydell for press adverts, the character was widely used by other wartime artists in poster campaigns and political cartoons. It is one of the few propaganda campaigns from World War II to be fully documented from the original concept sketches to the finished adverts. This original Poster has been overprinted on the back, Birmingham GAS Department Raid On Germany 27th October 1943 , asking for Money for bombs by November 1943 for Raids on Germany, the cost of Bombs is each lb weight costs Ten pence, each Thousand lbs costs 41 -10s 0d and One hundred thousand lbs costs 4,150 pounds ! A truly historical poster framed and glazed showing both sides of the poster 20 inches x 15 inches small pin marks in each corner and minor loss to bottom right hand corner.
Poster World War II Salute the Soldier Save More Lend More, by Abram Games (1914-1996) This poster was designed by Abram Games on behalf of the National Savings Committee NSC, a government body that encouraged people to save money that could then be used by the state to fund budget deficits and finance the war effort. In good condition with small corner loss due to drawing pins, printed for HM Stationary office by Alf Cooke Ltd Leeds. Framed and glazed 15 inches x 10 inches.

Ex Thompson B1 no 61334 built by the North British Locomotive Co under works number 26235 and released to traffic in July 1948 to Norwich Thorpe. Later allocatio ns include Cambridge, Sheffield, Canklow and Gorton from where withdrawal took place in December 1963. Restored, on the rear is attached a part Collectors Corner Receipt..

Handlamp, LNER GER pattern sliding knob, stamped REEDHAM 6 in the reducing cone and date stamped 1929, complete with back handle and in original condition. Reedham in the County of Norfolk has one of the last remaining Railway swing bridges that is s till in use today.
