Nameplate IMPALA from the LNER Thompson B1 Class 4-6-0 No 1002 / 8303 / 61002. Built at Darlington works in September 1943. Allocated initially to Perth South where the locomotive was comprehensively tested on various LNER lines in Scotland, it was l ater transferred to Hull Dairycoates from where it was withdrawn in June 1967, it was cut up in 1967 at Garnham, Harris & Elton, Chesterfield. In good original condition, neither nameplate from this loco has ever appeared at auction before.

Totem BR(M) FF WIDNES CENTRAL from the former GC and Midland Joint station. The totem has a flat crease to the R/H side which could be repaired and has good colour and shine.

Diesel nameplates a Pair CROMWELL and CHURCHILL from Ruston & Hornsby 0-6-0 DH built 1961 and numbered 423 / 8217 / 01585. Formerly based at MoD Bicester, was sold on the 28th June 2003 and moved to the Avon Valley Railway for engine overhaul it wa s then sent to The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway at Wirksworth and whilst it was based here it received the CROMWELL and CHURCHILL nameplates, it moved again to Ruddington from where it was purchased by DB Regio ( Chiltern Railways ) for use at its Wembley depot, in 2010 the loco was taken to Long Marston for modifications and it received the Chiltern Railways blue livery and the nameplates were removed as later in 2010 it was renamed SCAZ. The Pair will come with a certificate from Chiltern Railways and are sold on behalf of Chiltern Railways in aid of their two charities Home-Start Banbury & Chipping Norton and The Brain Tumour Charity.

The knife is just marked with the Bats Wing crest and measures 12.5in long. Both carry the marks for Elkin gton & Co of Sheffield and are in excellent condition.

LNWR mahogany cased pegging route indicator. The dial reads FLEETWOOD, LONGRIDGE, LANCASTER and the case is stamped LNWR 382 and L&NWRY TELE DEPT STOCKPORT. This was used as the pegging end of a circuit between PRESTON No1 & PRESTON No4 signal boxes as described in the LNWR Signalling Book by Richard Foster page 181 plate 12.7. An exceedingly rare instrument.
Totem BR(W) HF GLOUCESTER EASTGATE, in good condition with a couple of small face chips. From the former Midland Railway station in Gloucester which closed on 1975.
Somerset and Dorset Railway 10-inch oak cased iron dial railway clock with a spun brass bezel supplied by one of the Midland railway clock suppliers circa 1880. The quality early English fusee movement in good condition has rectangular plates which a re held together by turned shaped pillars, all of these features point to a movement made in the period 1870 to 1890. The White enamel painted dial rewritten by the Western region of British Railways, displaying bold Roman numerals and the legend BR-W, the case is made from English oak and retains its original LMS brass oval numberplate 10770 and this number puts it in a batch of S&DJR clocks from LMS number 15xx to 108xx. A rare timepiece from a famous line. In working condition complete with pendulum and key.

Lord Glenavy James Henry Mussen Campbell, 1st Baron Glenavy PC (4 April 1851 - 22 March 1931) was an Irish lawyer, politician in the British Parliament and later in the Oireachtas of the Irish Free State. He was also Lord Chancellor of Ireland. A stunning set that has survived intact.

Allocated initially to Gateshead, then Heaton and lastly back to Gateshead from 1945 to withdrawal in 1964 and was cut up at Darlington locomotive works. Face restored a long time ago rear ex loco.
