Worksplate DARLINGTON No 2101 1950 ex Worsdell J72 0-6-0 T built at Darlington Works and numbered 69020. Allocated to York North and 50B Hull Dairycoates from where it was withdrawn in December 1963. Scrapped 2 years later at T. J. Thompson Stockton. Oval engraved brass measures 12.25in x 6.25in. Face lightly cleaned.

GWR brass cabside numberplate 6013 ex Collett King 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1928 and named KING HENRY VIII. Allocated to Old Oak Common and 84A Wolverhampton Stafford Road from where it was withdrawn in June 1962. Scrapped later the same year at Swi ndon Works. Face restored.

London Underground enamel target/bullseye EARLS COURT compete with bronze frame. This style without the white panels was only used at three stations. Measures 24in x 20in and mounted on board for display.

Southern Railway gold FREE PASS for all stations and steamers issued to A. Raworth (1882-1967) who was the Chief Electrical Engineer to the Southern Railway from 1938 to 1946. In very good condition.

Tyers Single Line chromed steel Key Token Configuration A, EMBLETON - COCKERMOUTH STATION 20. Ex Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway which closed in 1966 being the last section after Bassenthwaite Lake.

LNWR notice titled LONDON AND NORTH WESTERN RAILWAY ARRANGEMENTS OF CARRIAGES COMPOSING HER MAJESTY'S TRAIN FROM GOSPORT TO BALLATER ON FRIDAY THE 31ST AUGUST AND SATURDAY THE 1ST SEPTEMBER 1900. Lists the carriages below a coloured picture and all t he occupants. Together with the original internal LNWR timetable, and a Caledonian Railway notice for the same train. This and the other paperwork included belonged to W.M Burke who amongst other positions was Superintendent of Perth General Station and then Joint manager of the Grangemouth, Kilsyth and Bonnybridge Railway and include his Job applications and references for these and other positions, lastly becoming City Chamberlain of Dundee.

Allocated to Gorton, Sheffield Darnal, Spital Bridge, Stratford and 31B March from where it was withdrawn in November 1963. Scrapped the following year at Doncaster Works. Oval cast brass, face cleaned, measures 9in x 5in.

Diesel worksplate NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY LTD GLASGOW No 27928 1962 ex British Railways Class 22 numbered D6355 and initially allocated to 82A Bristol Bath Road. Withdrawn from 81A Old Oak Common in September 1968 and scrapped a year later a t Cashmores Newport. Diamond shaped cast aluminium in as removed condition. Also see lot 209.

Carriage prints, a pair; LONDON RIVER THAMES (KINGS REACH) by Frank Mason, LONDON CLEOPATRA'S NEEDLE AND EMBANKMENT by Jack Merriott. Both are from the LNER Post War series. Framed and glazed in original type frames. In good condition, prints measure 20in x 10in.

Hunslet organ pipe steam locomotive whistle complete with operating valve. Measures 17in long x 1.5in diameter.

Original acrylic Painting LAZY AFTERNOON AT MUCH WENLOCK by Norman Elford GRA (1931 - 2007). Depicts GWR Prairie 5167 pulling in too Much Wenlock with a two coach stopping train. Framed and glazed with the painting measuring 17.5in x 11.5in and is in excellent condition.

The book in large format covers the whole of the Midland Railway system including all the Joint Lines; Somerset and Dorset, Midland and Great Northern, etc. Mo st pages are of Midland Railway origin and are dated and titled as such. A magnificent reference in very good condition measuring 20in x 17in. Contains 67 diagrams.

Nameplate LORD COLLINGWOOD ex Southern Railway Maunsell Lord Nelson Class 4-6-0 built at Eastleigh in 1929 and numbered 862 and later BR 30862. Allocated to Bournemouth and 71A Eastleigh from where it was withdrawn in October 1962 and scrapped later the same year. Face restored a long time ago, rear original. A substantial plate.

Worksplate THE VULCAN FOUNDRY LIMITED NEWTON-LE-WILLOWS LANCASHIRE No 5538 1947 ex Thompson B1 4-6-0 61180. Allocations included Eastfield, Dunfermline Upper, Aberdeen Ferryhill and 62B Dundee Tay bridge from where it was withdrawn in March 1967 and scrapped later the same year at Motherwell Machinery and scrap Wishaw. Oval cast brass measures 9.75in x 5.75in. Face lightly cleaned.

Diesel worksplate THE CLAYTON EQUIPMENT CO LTD RECORD WORKS HATTON DERBY ENGLAND SERIAL No 4365/U79 1963 ex British Railways Class 17 numbered D8578. Allocated to 64B Haymarket and withdrawn from 66A Polmadie in June 1969. Scrapped in 1971 at J. McWi lliam Shettleston. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition with 8578 stamped into the back. A rare plate.

London and North Western Railway mahogany cased 12 inch dial clock with a wire driven fusee movement. The dial is lettered BR-W and the LNWR numberplate 10 is fixed to the right hand side of the back box. This clock is featured in The Railway Clock B ook by I. P. Lyman on page 106 and is known to have last been in service on the LNWR-GW Joint line at Coleham Yard Shrewsbury. In fine working condition complete with pendulum and key. Circa 1880-1890.

London Underground enamel sign EALING, UXBRIDGE & HOUNSLOW LINES ex Acton Town Station, possibly from the 1932 station rebuild. Measures 62in x 13.5in and is in good condition with some edge chipping.

Southern Railway enamel target sign HAMPTON COURT from the former London and South Western Railway Terminus station at the end of the branch from Hampton court Junction. In very good condition with a couple of small well executed repairs.

Smokebox numberplate 75054 ex British Railways Riddles Standard Class 4 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1954. Allocations included Chester, Rhyl, Mold Junction, Bletchley and 5D Stoke from where it was withdrawn in August 1966. Scrapped the following year at Cashmores Great Bridge. In truly ex loco condition.

SE & CDR cast iron fireplace fender. The South Eastern and Chatham Railway (SECR) was formed on 1 January 1899, when the South Eastern Railway (SER) and London, Chatham and Dover Railway amalgamated, it was for a short while known as the SE & CDR. A rare survivor in very good condition, has been welded in the middle. Measures 42in long x 12in deep x 6in tall.

A pair of North Eastern Railway leather cash bags. One is brass plated N.E.R NORTH GRIMSTON, the other BURDALE. Both in very good condition and measure 10in long.

Worksplate Robert Stephenson & Co Ltd Darlington 1910 No 3394. Ex Rhymney Rly Hurry Riches A1 0-6-2T no 117 and GWR 73, shedded at Senghenydd, Cardiff East Dock and withdrawn from Radyr in July 1952. Lozenge shaped cast brass.

British Railways Western Region GWR pattern cast iron locomotive tenderplate B.R.(W) 5000 GALLONS 5-357 ex WD 2-8-0 90356. Allocated to Ebbw Junction, Shrewsbury and 81C Southall from where it was withdrawn in November 1962 and scrapped. Oval cast ir on in nicely restored condition measuring 8.25in x 6in.

Withdrawn in 1987 and scrapped at Vic Berry's Leicester. In original condition with some of the in ternal angle iron on the rear. Measures 42.5in x 18.5in.

London & South Western Railway mahogany cased 8 inch fusee clock lettered on the dial BR(S) JOHN WALKER 1, SOUTH MOLTON ST LONDON 7760 S.W. Original cast bezel and wartime replacement back box stamped 7760. In working condition complete with pend ulum and key. The Southern Railway clock records show that it was last in use at Wimbledon Carriage Sidings and was purchased in 1900.
