British Railways locomotive headboard CAMBRIAN RADIO CRUISE as used on the former train that ran between Llandudno, Deganwy, Colwyn Bay, Abergele and Rhyl to Barmouth on Summer week days in June July and August 1956-1961. Cast aluminium in original c ondition complete with integral mounting bracket, measures 40in x 19in. A folder accompanies the board with lots of information on this train, also of note is that besides the one in the National Railway Museum this is the only other one known to survive complete with the Welsh Dragon emblem.

Great Northern Railway single line mahogany cased non pegging Block Instrument complete with traffolite plate TO ST JAMES JUNCTION. In very good condition stands 18.5in tall. From one of the boxes near Doncaster.

Cambrian Railway 3 Aspect Handlamp brass plated on the reducing cone CAM RY and stamped in the side CAM RLYS MAKERS OSWESTRY WELSHPOOL PER WAY, Complete with BR reservoir, burner and all glasses. In partially restored condition.

BR(M) FF enamel doorplate TICKETS. In very good condition with minor edge chipping. Measures 18in x 6in and has an unusually 1in deep flange.

Tyers No 6 Aluminium single line tablet OTTERSPOOL Jc - SEVERN BRIDGE. Ex Great Western & Midland Railway Joint, Severn & Wye Railway section between Lydney adjacent to the junction to the Engine Shed and Severn Bridge station, gateway to the famous Severn bridge that was demolished by a barge collision in 1960, that linked to Sharpness on the south bank. The station opened on 20th October 1879 and closed 26th October 1960, the day after the collision.

Nameplate DEFIANCE ex British Railways Class 50 D449 which later became 50049 Feb 1974, 50149 Jul 1987 and 50049 Feb 1989. Allocated new to D05 Stoke-on-Trent Division Dec 1968. Named at Laira Depot on 2/5/1978 without ceremony. When loco was renumbe red to 50149 the nameplate had a yellow background and the ship's crest applied to one side. Nameplates were removed when the loco was withdrawn from Laira Aug 1991. Stored at Laira until sold to the Class 50 society in Nov 1991 for preservation. Has been based on the West Somerset Railway and the Severn Valley Railway and also undertaken main line duties whilst preserved. Currently based at the Severn Valley Railway and has recently been repainted into BR large logo livery. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 39.25in x 9.75in This is one of its original Swindon cast plates with Swindon casting pattern number in the back and traces of yellow paint under the red.

Nameplate THOMAS HARDY ex British Railways Riddles Standard Class 7 Britannia Pacific 4-6-2 built at Crewe in 1952 and numbered 70034. Allocated to Longsight, Norwich Thorpe, March, Willesden, Crewe North, Newton Heath and 12A Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in May 1967 and scrapped at J McWilliams (Shettleston). Rectangular cast brass face restored, measures 49.5in x 6in.

Smokebox numberplate 34032 ex Bulleid 4-6-2 West Country Class locomotive built at Brighton in 1946 and number SR 21C132 and named CAMELFORD. Allocated to Ramsgate, Stewarts Lane, Exmouth Junction, Plymouth Friary and 70E Salisbury from where it was withdrawn in October 1966 and scrapped. In original condition with the BR(S) Eastleigh Triangle cast in the back. Together with a 5500 Gallon cast iron water capacity plate from the same locomotive.

Brecon & Merthyr and London & North Western Railway Joint Line Staff and Ticket Box, hand engraved brass plated MORLAIS JUNC TO CEFN. In nicely restored condition measures 11in x 8in x 6in. A rare survivor.

LNER cast iron seatback BRIDGE OF ORCHY from the former North British Railway station between Crianlarich and Fort William. Nicely face restored with a neat repair to the right hand end measures 44.75in x 4.25in

London Underground enamel target/bullseye sign PADDINGTON measuring 33.5in x 28in. In excellent condition in original bronze frame. A famous London station location.

Totem BR(SC) FF BOWLING from the former North British Railway station between Singer and Dumbarton. In very good condition with some small face chipping. One of the better examples offered for sale and one for the cricket fans!

Worksplate THE ENGLISH ELECTRIC COMPANY LTD THE VULCAN FOUNDRY Ltd LOCOMOTIVE WORKS ENGLAND No 2363/D391 1957 ex British Railways diesel Class 20 originally numbered D8016 and 20016 in 1974. Allocated new to 1D Devons Road and later stored at various locations and sold to DRS then Harry Needle. Recently sold privately and removed to the Caledonian Railway Brechin for preservation. Rectangular chromed cast brass measures 10in x 4.5in. Has been cleaned but still shows traces of BR blue paint, slight damage to left hand bottom corner.

Smokebox numberplate 51424 ex LYR Barton Wright 0-6-0ST. Originally built as 0-6-0 tender engine in 1885 by the Vulcan Foundry, rebuilt as a 0-6-0ST in 1895 and numbered LYR 584 and LMS 11424. Allocated to Newton Heath and 25D Mirfield from where it was withdrawn in October 1958 and scrapped. In lightly cleaned condition.

Great Western Railway brass cabside numberplate 1709 ex Dean 0-6-0PT built at Swindon works in 1891 as a Saddle tank then rebuilt as a Pannier tank in 1913. Allocated to Newport Pill from where it was withdrawn in November 1950 and scrapped. In nicel y restored condition with boiler and class details stamped in the rim.

New to 55E Normanton Apr 1961 and withdrawn from 55 B Stourton Jul 1968 and sold to Aylesbury Coal concentration depot. Oval cast brass in as removed condition, measures 8in x 5in.

Smokebox numberplate 45513 ex LMS Fowler Patriot 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1932 and numbered LMS 5958 and 5513. Allocated to Preston, Crewe North, Carlisle Upperby, Carnforth and 8A Edge Hill from where it was withdrawn in September 1962 and scrapped. In original condition.

Nameplate DEWI SANT SAINT DAVID. Ex British Railways class Brush built class 47 numbered D1927 released to traffic in January 1966 and allocated to Bristol Bath Road. Renumbered 47600 under TOPS and named at Fishguard Harbour station by Mr P B Happe, Director of Sealink, Ferries Division on July 19th 1985 as part of the GWR 150 celebrations and comes complete with it loco naming plaque. Plates removed in May 1991. A Swindon casting in as removed condition, nameplate measures 45.25in x 17.75in and plaque 9in x 2.5in. Complete with Great Western Railways Certificate of Authenticity.

Nameplate ODNEY MANOR ex GWR BR-W Collett Manor Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1950 as order number 377 and numbered 7828. Allocated to Neath Court Sart, Croes Newydd, Machynlleth and 6D Shrewsbury from where it was withdrawn in October 1965 and sen t to Barry. In original condition except for the black paint at the top. Named after the Manor house near Maidenhead, the locomotive is now preserved and operational on the West Somerset Railway. Note this is the other side to the one sold elsewhere in March 2024.

Totem BR(SC) HF TYNDRUM UPPER from the former North British Railway station between Crianlarich and Fort William. In excellent condition a rare totem.

Great Western Railway telephone circuit notice between MARGAM MOOR and NEATH GENERAL. Shows Neath, Briton Ferry, Baglan, Port Talbot and Margam. In very good condition in an original glazed frame with top brass mount stamped GWR and back branded GWR, measures 8in x 5.5in.

Southern Railway enamel target station sign FOLKESTONE JUNCTION from the former South Eastern & Chatham Railway station later renamed Folkestone East and was between Shorncliffe and Dover Town. In very good condition with minor edge chipping and mounted on its original back board, measures 36in long.

Totem BR(E) HF LINCOLN ST. MARKS from the former Midland railway terminus station closed in 1985 on the Nottingham and Newark line. In excellent condition with one minute face chip. A rare totem only 3 times before at auction and this was the one sol d in 2022.

Worksplate BUILT DONCASTER 1958 ex British Railways Diesel Class 03 D2044-2051. Oval cast iron in as removed condition with original green paint. Measures 10.5in x 6in. One of only 8 built this year and visible on the back is a partially chalked numb er ending in 9 so probably from D2049.

Smokebox numberplate 40036 ex LMS Fowler 3P 2-6-2 T built at Derby in 1931 and numbered LMS 15535 and 36. Allocated to Kentish Town and 14A Cricklewood from where it was withdrawn in June 1960 and scrapped. Lightly face restored. Complete with origin al BR receipt dated March 1961

Great Western Railway brass cabside numberplate 8706 ex Collett 0-6-0 PT built by Beyer Peacock Ltd in 1931. Allocated to Swansea and 87F Llanelli from where it was withdrawn in July 1961 and scrapped. In face restored condition.

LNER 4 Aspect single pie crust Handlamp stamped in the reducing cone and side LNER and brass plated LONDON AND NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY CLAXBY & USSELBY. Nicely restored complete with all glasses with a small repaired crack to the orange glass and r eservoir and burner. A rare location from the former Great Central station between Market Rasen and Barnetby.

Originally allocat ed to 34B Hornsey and withdrawn from 34G Finsbury Park in November 1968 and scrapped a George Cohen Kettering. Rectangular chromed brass in lightly face cleaned condition. Measures 10in x 4.5in.

Smokebox numberplate 35024 ex Southern Railway Bulleid Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2 built at Eastleigh in 1948 and named East Asiatic Company. Allocated to Exmouth Junction, Nine Elms, Bournemouth and 70G Weymouth from where it was withdrawn in January 1965 and scrapped. In as removed condition, complete with soot!

Smokebox numberplate 6922 ex GWR Collett Hall 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1941 and named BURTON HALL. Allocated to St Phillips Marsh, Westbury, Oxford, Shrewsbury and 2A Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in May 1965 and scrapped. Lightly face restore d. Complete with Great Western Society Didcot Bill Peto research sheet.

Tyers mahogany cased F type LNER (Scottish) 2 Line block instrument complete with integral bell. In excellent condition with top lock clasp missing stands 19in tall . Not common.

GWR Stainless Steel Motif. One of only 12 of this type made and fitted to Power Cars 43187, 43188, 43005, 43016, 43042, 43194. This set is confirmed as having been removed from 43005 formerly St. Michael's Mount and this was the first GWR Castle Clas s Power Car to go off lease as part of the Castle Class withdrawal on 1st April 2023, they were removed at Laira Depot between that date and the 4th July 2023 when 43005 was returned to its owner Angel Trains Limited. Laser cut Stainless steel complete with backing plates, the W stands 38.5in tall. Sold on behalf of Great Western Railway for their chosen charities and comes with an official GWR certificate of authenticity confirming the original owner.

Great Western Railway brass cabside numberplate GWR 3028 ex Robinson Rod 2-8-0 built by Nasmyth Wilson as works number 1281 in 1918 and delivered to the Railway Operating Division. Purchased by the GWR in 1925 and allocated to Croes Newydd and 84B Ox ley from where it was withdrawn in August 1956 and scrapped. Face restored with boiler and engine details stamped into the rim.

Nameplate NEWTON ABBOT 150 ex British Railways Class 43 HST 43137. Allocated new to Old Oak Common Jan 1980. Named at Newton Abbot station on 11/4/97 and removed when transferred to ScotRail Aug 2019. Still in service. Rectangular cast aluminium in a s removed condition measures 45.25in x 8.75in. Nameplate KING EDWARD VIII ex Great Western Railway Collet King Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1930 as order number 267 and numbered 6029. Allocated to Plymouth Laira and 81A Old Oak Common from where it was withdrawn in July 1962 and scrapped at Ca shmore's Newport. In very good condition with some restoration to the black. The rear of the plate is R indicating this is the right hand plate.
